Great location, really pleasant and clean rooms, but the thing that makes this such a good place to stay . All of the people are incredibly helpful and generous with their time and advice. We traveled with two six-year-olds and lots of luggage and despite the stairs up to the elevator, this was one of the nicest places we stayed in the four weeks we were in Kathmandu.

The only Nepalese hotel we stayed at that had decent temperature control in the shower! Aircon/heater in the room works really well. It’s clean and cosy.
Right in the heart of Thamel for if you want to shop or sightsee. You can just walk everywhere which is very handy.
We were here in low season so brekkie is to order not buffet, but they’re flexible. Dinner here was decent too.
Laundry is a tad overpriced and they probably are a bit pricey for what you can get elsewhere in the area but I would still recommend highly.

After our Annapurna Base Camp trek, this hotel was exactly what we needed. The room was cozy and spotless, with a warm, inviting atmosphere that felt like a much-needed retreat. The bed was comfortable, and the shower had great water pressure—a big plus after days in the mountains. What made this place stand out was the exceptional service.
We had a flight at midnight the next day, and the staff allowed us to leave our bags at the hotel while we spent the day sightseeing around Kathmandu. If you have extra time before your flight, I recommend exploring nearby spots like Thamel, which is just a 5-minute walk. After a day of exploring, we returned to the hotel to shower before heading to the airport—such a thoughtful touch!
There’s honestly not much to complain about. The only minor issue was that the Wi-Fi was a bit spotty in certain areas of the hotel, but nothing that ruined our experience.
Tip: If you're trekking, ask for a late checkout or use the shower service if you have a late flight—it’s a game-changer. Overall, this hotel was the perfect post-trek choice, with friendly staff and a great location!

Amazing service! All staff members take the time to get to know you, like you are part of the community. My mother and I are gluten free and we ate breakfast lunch and dinner at the hotel because the food was so good and they accommodated for dietary requirements. The rooms are very clean and extremely comfortable beds. It takes a few minutes walk to get into the middle of Thamel, but we prefer staying a little out of the main streets because it was quieter. I recommend staying here for clean, quiet, friendly accomodation!

1. Every service staff is very nice. 2. In a quiet alley, each room has a balcony, plenty of light, and is very close to the city. 3. The food is also great, and the breakfast is all-you-can-eat. 4. Everything you can think of is available, the boss is very nice, no need to switch when charging, and it meets personal needs including water and shampoo. 5. You can call a taxi here. If you need it, you can ask the service staff, or you can change money at the counter. 6. The exchange rate is also good. Overall, I would recommend this hotel. We had the pleasure of staying at the Kathmandu Suite Home hotel for several nights before and after our trek in Nepal in November 2019. We found the hotel very comfortable, very professional and helpful staff, great food and service. The location is excellent off a quiet street, but yet only a short couple of blocks walk to the heart of Thamel. We hope we have the opportunity to return, and we would definitely stay at the Kathmandu Suite Home Hotel!
