We stayed here before and after our week volunteering. Room in newer part was spacious and comfortable with mostly hot showers. Excellent breakfast and very good coffee and masala chai. Lovely to get away from craziness of Thamel to quiet backstreet. Would definitely recommend

Apart from temperamental hot water and wi fi, the holy himalaya is a centrally located hotel in thamel, kathmandu. The rooms are clean and neat with everything you would expect from an average hotel. the buffet breakfast and barista are exceptional.

Enjoyed our stay at holy himalaya. Rooms were clean, warm and comfortable. Breakfast was good and the staff were really friendly and helpful. Best of all, they have a proper espresso machine and know how to use it! Great location also. I would return👍🏼

I enjoyed my stay here. The rooms were extremely spacious, clean and comfortable. Bathroom was quiet modern and hot water was pleasantly there at all times! The only thing I would improve is the breakfast buffet

This hotel is in a good location in Thamel, the tourist area of Kathmandu. We had a large room with huge comfortable beds, en suite with shower and bath, all very clean and well maintained. The staff were fantastic going over and above being helpful. We wanted to see sights in the city and were provided with a car, driver...

We stayed at the Holy Himalaya Hotel in Kathmandu before and after our EBC trek. Apart from a cold shower on the morning before we flew to Lukla we had no issues at all. The internet was a bit iffy at times but that's to be expected in Nepal. The fact that the hotel has guest computers at all is...

Our trek and tour with Himalayan Social Journey used the Holy Himalaya hotel as their Kathmandu base and we were very happy with the service and quality of rooms. Our first night was across the road in the older building and subsequent stays were in the main building where the reception area is located. This is definitely preferential as the...

Organised by our travel agent Nepal Himalayan Social started our trek to Australia Basecamp here and ended our trip here. Best place to stay for being central, comfortable, free coffee, tea all day. Will always go back there and travel with Himalayan Social who were totally attentive and caring about whether we were enjoying ourselves.

We like the location of this hotel. It's close to shopping area and restaurants. The room is clean and spacious. Kettle is not provided, only bottled water. It would also be nice if pairs of slippers are provided (for during cold season) but the heater works great in the room. Room is prone to noises outside the room. Woke up...

The Hotel Holy Himalaya staff are amazing, they always remembered our room numbers and names so that when we entered they could say hello and check if any of our guides had tried to contact us. We were uncertain of where we were going at some times on our trip and if in Kathmandu they just offered us $50 for...
