Good location for getting all your camping/trekking gears. There were shops all round the hotel. My room was nice enough. I would probably say the room was a decent 3 star hotel room Breakfast was good.

The staff are extremely helpful. A barista in the entry area of the Hotel makes the best coffee that I have tasted in Nepal. The hotel is situated in Thamel, the tourist area of Kathmandu so it is in easy walking distance of the shops. The rooms are clean and fairly basic but we really didn't need anything further. Great...

This hotel has two "wings" - one above reception, and one over the road; I stayed over the road. Rooms are an okay size but basic; beds are fairly firm. The biggest problem is noise, street-front rooms get a lot of noise into the early hours of the morning, plus barking dogs at odd hours. Reception staff are friendly. The...

Great service, handy location, good breakfast. The rooms are small if more than 2 people in the room. Hotel staff are good and friendly. Breakfast has a good variety for everyone with hot and cold dishes.

Hotel Holy Himalaya is situated near the hustles and hustled of Thamel with a min walk to the main streets. It is a huge hotel that has two separate buildings. It seems to be a popular place for big groups of European trekkers and travelers. I stayed at a rooftop garden suite in the building opposite of its main building....

The rooms are adequate, comfortable and clean. We stayed with a group and found that some rooms were bigger and more comfortable than others. Rooms were air conditioned. The bar and restaurant area was spacious and cool. Drinks were reasonably priced. Breakfast was provided with our deal and was good. The hotel is fairly close to the city centre. The...

Location is in a side street 10 minutes walk away from the main noisy hub of Thamel. The rooms are OK, but nothing great. There's quite a difference between the standard room and the "deluxe" room, so it's worth going for the better one. Breakfast is pretty good, and the (free) coffee in the dining area is probably the best...

Room 110 was basic. Bathroom small and awkward. Noisy due to barking dogs. 5am the security guards slide open huge metal grates so it can be noisy. Best part of the place is the free espresso coffees made for you in the foyer. Breakfast is limited but fine however breakfast area space is cramped so it's a bit of a...

My wife and I stayed at this hotel prior to a trek to EBC. The hotel has a relaxed atmosphere and is very close to all of the shops and restaurants that make up the centre of Kathmandu. The room we had was adequate and clean and the food in the restaurant was good. This is by no means a...
