Our stay at Maya Devi Village was short but very sweet. After a trip up into the mountains, we returned to the warm and welcoming family of Maya Devi Village for a few days before heading back to Kathmandu. What was immediately apparent was how much the owners, Scott and Anita, cared about their staff and their guests. Maya Devi...

This is such a delightful place. I didn't actually stay here. Just went for coffee, really, but I was completely captivated by what they have done there. The coffee was good, and sitting there watching the paragliders land by the lake was a delight. They have clearly done everything to a good standard. It was interesting to see the hawks,...

Went here for something to eat and visit the birds of pray. Wished I stayed there! It's a beautiful place with great looking accommodation. The people that run it are a lovely welcoming family. My favourite thing, as a bird fanatic, was the quality of environment and the care provided to the birds - absolutely first class.

It's not really a village. It's a nice resort, specializing in paragliding with falcons. The only place in the world where they'll take you up in a parasail with falcons that soar around and eat out of your hand. Or you can just come to the restaurant and enjoy the falcons in their cages amidst the beautiful landscaping.

Hi, Many thanks for your great review, we're really glad you enjoyed your stay with us. I just wanted to clarify some information in your review which could be a little misleading. In addition to the restaurant and lodge, we also run a project called Parahawking where we train rescued non releasable Egyptian Vultures to fly with Paragliders. All of...

Of the 5 hotels I stayed at during this trip, this was by far my favorite. More of a mini-resort than a hotel. It's just across the dirt road from the lake in terms of it being a little off the main drag and much more quiet and peaceful. Lakeside restaurants and trekking shops are a 20 minute walk. The...

The very kind family that runs Maya Devi Village will make you comfortable and welcome, help you make arrangements for travel plans, give you good advice about the area, and teach you about Nepal's threatened raptor population. Our cottage was very comfortable for our family of four. The location is quiet compared with Pokhara and the rest of Lakeside, with...

We stayed here for 3 nights. The owners of Maya Devi Village also provide the parahawking activity, which is great, but the accommodations here do not live up to expectations. Staying here does make it convenient if you are participating in parahawking, but that is where the benefits seem to end. There were a number of areas where it fell...

Many thanks for taking the time to review our lovely guest house. I’m sorry that you didn’t enjoy your stay with us, your rather scathing and quite frankly unfair one star review did come as somewhat of a surprise. At Maya Devi Village we aim to offer a slightly different experience than what you would get in the hundreds of...

I was overwhelmed by the comfort of the large room the Scott provided me with. Such nice beds and the design of the houses have an amazing character that really ties the place into an oasis of comfort. It really feels unique. Maya Devi is located a walk away from central Lake Side and taking a car is less comfortable...

I stayed one night in Maya Devi in the quiet season and was the only person here. Scott was very welcoming and spent time explaining his parahawking and bird recovery programme - it's awesome to meet someone with such passion. Unfortunately the vulture feeding trip was full but this sounds interesting. The "village" is right next to the lake and...

My boyfriend and I went parahawking with Scott mason who owns and runs these amazing lodges. After trekking we stayed in one of the lodges for four days and I can honestly say it was a totally relaxing and peaceful place to stay. Scott and Anita were fantastic hosts and went out of their way to make sure our stay...
