Tiger Mountain sets standards for comfortable Pokhara hotels. It is 30 minutes from Pokhara; on a hilltop ridge, with panoramic mountain views. With its relaxed atmosphere, sustainable-tourism and conservation ethos, the lodge is a unique haven in Nepal. The lodge has won awards including PATA Heritage and Culture Gold Award. With just 18 rooms, it provides comfort and attention to personal service. An ideal base for walks, day hikes, local culture, massage, yoga, birding, sightseeing and good food. Free Wifi is available in public rooms. Independently audited, the lodge has achieved Gold Standard in the GSTC Travelife Sustainability Audit. People are at the core of every lodge or hotel - over 85% of our staff have been with the lodge since our start, twenty years ago, in October 1998. They are the most precious asset and always strive to ensure every guest has a special time at the lodge.

A wonderful stay that I would definitely return to. We had been wanting to visit Tiger Mountain Pokhara Lodge for many years and finally got to go in October. The place has stunning views. The food was wholesome, fresh and delicious. Loved the conversations, stories, food, room and views. The staff were excellent, tending to our needs, while not being intrusive.

Stayed one night in October 2020. The location is wonderful with amazing views of the mountains. The food was incredible and I felt so welcomed and looked after by everyone. My early morning tea and cake on the terrace looking at the mountains at dawn was an absolute highlight. They were very well prepared for guests and it felt absolutely safe - all cleanliness and social distancing measures were followed without diminishing the lovely welcome. Thank you all, it was a pleasure visiting.

Dear aptly_20, Thank you for your lovely review and specially for feeling we managed the COVID required restrictions without diminishing our welcome and friendliness. The time of lockdown was used to focus on two things - maintaining our friendly, homely service and seeking eco-benign disinfection agents! It seems we have managed 100% - thank you. All the staff were thrilled as you made your booking - our first guest after seven months and it was lovely to be 'back in action' caring for our guests and sharing the haven that is Tiger Mountain. We look forward to that family visit as you return to roots to the east of Nepal...! All good wishes for Christmas and hopefully a brighter 2021. Dol Raj, Lalu, Marcus, Ishwar and Jhalak - and the wold team at Tiger Mountain

Myself and my husband had another dreamy few days here. The staff are superb dn so charming, the bedrooms so comfortable and the curries are exquisite made by a very special, local chef who is famous for his spice blending. I think we will make this a regular trip as it is a great escape in February from the UK winter.

We stayed for three nights at Tiger Tops and it was a brilliant experience. The lodge is comfortable and reflects the area. By this I mean that it's more than the standard hotel which you can find in most places. The view from our room was amazing and the support from Marcus and his staff was exceptional. The food was great - 'real' food which has not been processed to such a degree that it's origins are barely recognisable! We thoroughly enjoyed our stay here and would happily return.

Dear Maureen V, Music to our ears - you highlight all we strive to be. Just a small point, we are Tiger Mountain and our sister company and co-founder is Tiger Tops with a magnificent lodge and Tented Camp on the edge of Chitwan National Park. A great and dedicated team of staff, comfortable rooms with a true sense of place, food that is recognisable, wholesome, local and contributes to the local economy are all the core elements of our lodge. We focus on true sustainability, wellbeing and a genuine local experience of where we are proud to be - in the hills of central Nepal. A big thank you from us all for such a lovely review. Lalu, Dol Raj, Ishwar, Jhalak, Marcus

Breathtaking views nestled in the hilltops with direct sight of the stunning Annapurna Range. The location and natural beauty is undeniable which is then amplified 10 fold with excellent service coupled with scrumptious Nepali food (be brave it's divine) and homely rooms nestled in the hilltops. But what defines this lodge is the personal care and attention- Marcus and his team- truly make this place the last Shangrila. Magical.
