We arrived late afternoon when 'the view' was in cloud, in fact snow was falling on the mountains. The following morning we woke with the most spectacular, breathtaking views of the Annapurna range of mountains in the early morning sun with its fresh fall of snow. Wow. Our whole experience here was simply bliss. The attention to detail was good...

Dear Pat C, Thank you for your lovely review and kind words for all the dedicated team at Tiger Mountain Pokhara Lodge. Yes, the little extra details are what make a guest's stay here a bit special and personal, and that is before fine mountain views. All the staff strive to go a bit farther to ensure every guest is...

Loved this sanctuary at the foothills of the Annapurnas. The host was Super friendly and had dinner with us our first night. We had a villa just near the restaurant/bar which was quintessentially Nepalese. This is not for Budget travellers as the restaurant is on the expensive side and there's no where else in the immediate vicinity to dine.

Dear CaracasChica, Thank you for your kind words. I only wish it was possible to include pictures in replies to reviews as the mountains, last night by the light of the full moon at the Holi Festival were so spectacular and recent rains cleared just in time to allow the fresh snow to be revealed in all its glory. All...

What an incredible place to stay with stunning mountain views. We were looked after wonderfully by the staff and also Marcus. We had some wonderful bird spotting walks around the grounds and found out lots of interesting information about the local way of life. Food was delicious, I think it is usually a buffet lunch but there were was only...

Dear Verity M, It was such a pleasure having you both to stay. Really a 'calm before the storm' as a day later we had 47 guests for a formal dinner for 6th Gurkhas' 200th Anniversary. The great staff in the lodge, kitchen and stewards, served both the four of us the night before and the 47 with equal efficiency,...

This was my second time at TMPL, and for me TMPL is first of all about this magnificent view. The place itself is so beautifully built, that no matter which way you turn, you are always able to enjoy the spectecular view on the Anapurna mountain range and at the same time feel included in nature without being intrusive. A...

Dear Christel W, Thank you so much from us all for your sensitive review. It was such a pleasure for us to 'take up where we left off' from your first visit. Rarely does one find a jewel like this, where staff and owner are welcoming, friendly and nothing is too much. Marcus and his team really go out of their way to make your stay enjoyable, relaxing, rejuvenating. Then comes the view : simply breathtaking. And the cozy rooms in chalets built of local materials, all conscious of the environment and...

Dear jacquelinem449, As ever it was so lovely relaxing with you both, laughing, and laughing even more, yet also discussing serious matters too. I love the relaxed atmosphere of the lodge and strive to keep it that way for all our guests. Sometimes the world becomes over-complicated and to be able to step back and enjoy simple qualities like good...

We had high expectations for this hotel. Sadly due to bad weather we didn't have many glimpses of the mountain, not their fault. What disappointed us the most were the (hidden) extras that resulted in us spending $500 extra (excluding accommodation) over two nights. Lunch / dinner is $25/person when we asked in advance we were told approximately $15/person for...

Dear Bedasaka, Thank you for your review and comments. I am sincerely saddened to see that you felt something lacking at the lodge. While I disagree the issue of not being value for money, I would like to reply in detail: 1. The extras were all absolutely clear and not hidden at all. They are known to your local agent...

Having read glowing reviews about this property we were anticipating a really enjoyable stay.
