Our family-owned guesthouse sits on a hillside in a typical Nepalese village with panoramic views of the Annapurna Range, both Begnas and Rupa Lakes, as well as the surrounding lush green forest and countryside. Our guesthouse is situated on the outskirts of our small yet lively village and is one of the longest-running in Begnas. From our peaceful mountainside perch, you can enjoy the rhythm of village life from a comfortable distance or immerse yourself in Nepali culture by taking a pleasant stroll along the village path. Nature walks, boating, hiking, swimming, and fishing activities can all be done within the surrounding property. Dinesh's House is an ideal place to recharge in a quiet homestay environment with authentic Nepali hospitality, relaxation and spectacular views.

We extended our stay in Pokhara to visit begnas lake . I always loved the khahare extension at phewa lake but recent commercialisation has killed the general vibe of the place . This is a personal perception and subjective . So we went to Begnas to stay another day in Pokhara and we were actually lost looking for place s to stay near the lake . Someone told us to check place s on top of the hill were we cud see views of both the lakes (begnas and rupa ) . Next thing we are on the cab ascending the hill to look for stays . We found Dinesh house on trip advisor and headed there …. So all this was spontaneous and we didn’t really check the place online…. To our surprise we were greeted by beautiful views and super hospitable people . We ended up there without booking but Dinesh helped us to get a room and got it cleaned while we waited . Although the views were choked with smoke due to forest fires in Nepal during that time ,,,, the location itself was like a fairy tale …. I really hoped we stayed longer and explored the hill more . The stay was memorable and we will surely visit again when we r in begnas . Much regards to Deepa Di for making us feel welcome and always on her toes for the guests . This is not a hotel but a home you miss when you are always moving hotels . Loved the food loved the stay !!! Much love to u guys . Stay safe and take good care .

I stayed there in February 2021 and had great and relaxing days. The place is situated nice in the nature with a beautiful view down to Begnas lake (and if there are no clouds also to the Himalayan range). The organic food is excellent and the home grown coffee tastes marvellous.
You can reach the village with the bus from Begnas bazaar (to where frequently busses from Pokhara are going).

Staying at Dinesh‘s house was the most humble experience since you are being treated not as a foreigner but part of their family. At the same time, you have your own space and can do what you feel to do.

Whenever you need anything, one of them is around and supports you with what is needed. I went on a little walk with Dinesh one day who showed me Rupa lake and its surroundings. He is a gentle guide allowing you to be in nature, without many words.

The house is located perfectly and maintained by the family and their big heart for many, many years. Dinesh‘s wife is serving fresh home-made food which is very delicious and filling for the day.

I was able to see how they also harvest their own honey from the bees they take care of. It is so fresh and delicious!

The family maintains a lovely fruit and vegetables garden. Many flowers, old trees and the view to lakes and mountains are welcoming you here.

The Vipassana Meditation Center is a three minutes walk away and I truly recommend to stay at Dinesh‘s house after you did a Vipassana retreat. You can continue the silence here.

Thank you, Dinesh & family!

Wonderful guesthouse run by a lovely Nepali family, Dinesh (an former teacher) and his wife. The views are spellbinding, and the accommodation is very charming and clean. The house sits on a well oriented garden where the family grow an abundance of organic food, which you enjoy for both breakfast and dinner. This is a gem and we will be back.

I stayed 4 days. Everything went very well. Dinesh and his family are very welcoming. This is often the case in Nepal, but there it was even more! The view is really superb. It's very peaceful, relaxing and the food was very good. Really enjoyed it. I recommend !

I discovered this paradise, Dinesh's house, in November 2013. It is situated on a jungle covered hillridge above the beautiful Begnas Lake with breathtaking views of the snowcovered Himalayas. This family run Homestay has a magic beautiful garden, where you can relax and enjoy the the stunning views. What a peaceful, quiet place, only natural sounds of the jungle can be heard. The two doublerooms are clean and built in typical nepali style, with interior red-brown mud covered walls. The shared bathroom is also very clean and spacious!
The family is lovely and is caring very nicely, I felt treated like a family member. The food is absolutely delicious.
Within 15-20 minutes walk you'll reach down at the lake, where you can rent boats. In the whole area I haven't found any comparable Homestay like Dinesh's House. For more details, please check their website: http://www.dineshhouse.com/
I definitely will go back there again.

This is an amazing place to relax and be still. With a maximum of 8 guests and plenty of quiet spots to enjoy the garden, birdwatching and stunning views it’s perfect for relaxation.
Dinesh and Dipa are perfect hosts, happy to chat and share information but not intrusive. Meals are simple but tasty with veggies fresh from the garden. With ample solar hot water, spotless rooms and excellent wifi this ticks all the boxes.

We booked two nights at dinesh's house last minute and we're so glad we did. We loved it so much we extended our stay. The garden is a Beautiful place to relax and just enjoy hanging out in. The breakfast is delicious and the dinner so tasty, and it was great chatting to Dinesh, his wife and mother and other guests. You also have great views of snowy peaks and are ten minutes walk from the lake which we loved swimming in. If you are staying in pokhara you should definitely take some time up here!

I've been in touch with Dinesh after the earthquake and he and his family are fine. There has been some damage in the area but not on the scale of Kathmandu valley. You can get in touch with him via his website, he is very responsive: Google for dineshhouse.
