If there ever were such a thing as a perfect hotel, the Riviera has to qualify! From the Mozart in the diningroom to the room decor of light wood and pale blue, this was a great place. And the staff could not have been more friendly and obliging. Breakfast was very generous and interesting. We were sorry to leave --...

We stayed five days and are returning for two more days in February. The hotel was as wonderful as most reviewers said. We want to particularly mention the excellent service of Meko Huang and her staff. When we arrived in the morning she knew we were very tired and had a room ready for us even though it was 5...

We really enjoyed this hotel. The value for the money ($370 for 3 nights, including all taxes and fees) was terrific. I booked the room on Expedia, which entitled us to free buffet breakfasts each morning. The food was great and the service lovely. The room was huge (a suite), clean, and comfortable. The staff was exceptionally helpful and friendly....

A week's stay at the Riviera Hotel in Taipei has left me very charmed and pleased with the services at the concierge and business centre. This is truly a boutique hotel catered towards simple and quiet visitors to Taipei. The main drawback would be that the location is quite a walk from subway stations (it is right between two stations),...

I have been coming to the Riviera Hotel over the last 10 years and can only say that as a busines hotel in Taipei, it gets better and better and provides all the facilities a business visitor can need coupled with a location close to the Freeways that makes access to and from the Airport as quick and convenient as...

Stayed here for business recommended by my host. This is a new small hotel not suffering from supersize anonimity. The hotel has a clean and nice decoration interior. The staff is helpful, friendly and many speak decent English. The complimentary breakfast is enjoyable French cafe style. The rooms is new, well maintained, equipped with good speed wired internet service. While...

What a great find in Taipei. Don't be put off by the slightly dated and dirty looking exterior of the hotel; the inside is exceptional! The rooms are of a very decent size with working desk, shower/bath and a very generous supply of shower amenities. Bedding was a standard queen size that was clean and comfortable. Rooms were fresh and...

My wife and I stayed there with my parents during a 5 day trip to Taipei. We got the king-size bed room and my folks got the two full-size bed rooms and both were very clean and well furnished. It was also very quiet and the free internet was a nice bonus, as were the HBO and Cinemax movie channels....

This was our first visit to Taipei (and indeed Taiwan) so we decided to stay with a hotel that came up highly in reivews. I am so happy that we booked the Riviera; from the initial contact with the hotel through to checking out, everything was handled with professionalism and courtesy. We liked it so much, that, after a trip...

Had never been to Taipei before so read about sections of the city and decided on the one close to the center, Zhongshan. Riviera Hotel is in this section and from the description in the guide book and the fact that they do not accept tour groups but cater to business travelers, made me feel confident that it might be...

“For a nice view, request an upper room and that is overlooking Minzu Street.”
of 5 bubbles rizalitoz, 14 Mar 2017 | Read review
“I believe we stayed in an executive double. The large entry room felt too big/empty for the desk in the corner, and the pair of high-backed chairs were sort of awkward. We never used it, but it was nice to have additional space. ALSO, housekeeping will want to check on you daily regardless of whether you have a do not disturb sign posted. We went to bed early one evening and they called to see if we needed anything (we said no thanks), then the room attendant rang the doorbell 15 minutes later to give us a newspaper or something. Weird.”
