Good hostel. Very good facilities. Security is great. Breakfast/food and drinks are decent and not too expensive. For beers i recommend going down the street to the left and you will find a small shop run by a old lady who has cheaper beers. A big hostel so it can be hard to get in touch with others, but i...

My friend and I stayed at Lub d for one night. We decided in the evening at 6pm that we wanted to go to Koh Tao the next day. The staff were so helpful, calling to book the bus for us and making sure the next morning the taxi driver knew where to go. The accommodation itself was clean and...

I've stayed at Lub d Siam twice and decided to give their Silom branch a try when I recently spent New Year in Bangkok. If there is one thing that I did not like, it would be the location. It's far from the train station. The area is also quiet at night (good if you prefer some peace). Other than...

This was the first hostel we stayed at on our trip and it was a great welcome. Super cheap prices for food and drinks, rooms were clean and comfortable and the bathrooms were great - hot shower included! Would definitely stay here again, really helpful and friendly staff who were ready to help with any traveller needs!

Modern and clean, bathrooms are great. Our dorm had no windows but was fine with big lockers. They provide towels and breakfast is good value at 65 baht. Not many people were chatting in the main area but there was usually a group of people outside drinking and smoking.

Staying in Silom

Neighbourhood Profile
Silom
Despite the lack of any major tourist attractions, this lively neighborhood is a favorite of many. Whether it's the (somewhat naughty) nightlife of Soi Patpong, the various handicraft night markets or the plethora of dining options that tickle your fancy, a night out in Silom is a must on every itinerary. It's worth a stop during daytime, too: join office workers on a quest to tasty street food during lunch and shop at Silom Complex for a great mix of Thai and international stores. After a day of strolling around the congested sidewalks, a visit to Silom's Lumphini Park, Bangkok's answer to NYC's Central Park, is a welcome change of scenery.
