A great place for your trip to Bangkok. Great location for a quiet night's sleep. The whole place was spotlessly clean. We rented the private room on the top floor. Really nice place for a couple. The staff were really nice and friendly; eager to help you get around the city and have a good time. The whole atmosphere of...

I spent two nights in Lub d Hostel in December and can only say good things about the place. It simply represented fantastic value for money to me and was much nicer than a three star hotel I had just come from in another part of Thailand. Check in was quick and easy and the staff were really professional and...

This was one of the best hostels I have stayed in. It's super modern and not at all worm down. Staff were friendly and helpful. The bar was good - stocked full of solid beers. They had 6 computers in the lobby - chances of an open computer were good. Wifi available everywhere, even in rooms. Showers were big but...

A clean hostel with a modern feel, this place was an oasis at the end of e few hectic days in Bangkok. Clean linens, clean shower and separate clean toilet cubicle, fresh sheets and linens every day, and decent coffee.

I, like many people, started my trip in Bangkok and this hostel was a welcome site after 23 hours of travel. It's tucked away on a little street between two main roads. The rooms were clean and the bathrooms were big and super functional. You can tell the layout was very well planned out. The place itself is a good...

Stayed here three times over three weeks travelling south east asia. Will be back any time I come to bangkok. Very industrial chic. Definitely do all of the activities (pub crawl was a blast, as was restaurant night). Awesome internet, cool bathrooms. Also, there is sweet street food just a block from Lub D (turn right on the main street,...

I live in South Korea and have stayed in many different accommodations. I can honestly say that Lub D is the best hostel I have stayed in. We got into the lobby( we came on an overnight train train that got in at 7) around 7:45 AM. The lobby is clean you can use their computers or connect to their...

I had long wanted to stay at this hostel, but could never get a room. It might have something to do with the room unavailability, and it is not hard to see why! I was impressed with their website, but was a little hesitant to believe everything I see online. Often, travelers are conned by the gorgeous room photos, lobby...

Booked a private double room here and it was fantastic. Great bathroom, flat screen tv and modern furniture. The hotel had a very friendly atmosphere and the staff was great. It was 5 minutes from a BTS station which made it easy to get around Bangkok. Highly recommend staying here.

The design and architecture of Lub D, Silom, are a treat, with inspired decor and a brilliant use of industrial cement. The rooms are a little cramped and there isn't much space for luggage, but they provide a storage locker for each bed, so you can at least stash it away. The staff were amazing. I used Lud B as...

Staying in Silom

Neighbourhood Profile
Silom
Despite the lack of any major tourist attractions, this lively neighborhood is a favorite of many. Whether it's the (somewhat naughty) nightlife of Soi Patpong, the various handicraft night markets or the plethora of dining options that tickle your fancy, a night out in Silom is a must on every itinerary. It's worth a stop during daytime, too: join office workers on a quest to tasty street food during lunch and shop at Silom Complex for a great mix of Thai and international stores. After a day of strolling around the congested sidewalks, a visit to Silom's Lumphini Park, Bangkok's answer to NYC's Central Park, is a welcome change of scenery.
