On my last night in Thailand before travelling home, I wanted to treat myself to a night in a place that wasn't quite a hostel and was a bit more upmarket- without breaking the budget that had so heavily dwindled after two months of travel. So on a recommendation from a previous hostel bartender I decided to stay here. It...

If you're planning to stay on Khao San road, then this hotel is a great choice. While it provides a small escape from the noisy and exciting Khao San it is still in the heart of the party. Rooms were very adequate. If you're backpacking like we were and all you're looking for is a decent room, wifi, hot shower...

Okay Hotel on Khao San Road in Bangkok, very loud, rooms are small and old but clean. Nothing special - for the same money you can find much better places a little away from Khao San Road. Staff was friendly and helpful.

This hotel was wonderful. The room was very nice and clean, the AC was great and there was a safe. The hotel staff were extremely friendly, they always say hello when you walk past them. The rooftop pool was very nice. There was a small bar on the roof by the pool that served drinks and a few small snacks....

We had been recommended here by two different groups of friends that stayed here and we are glad we did a really good way to start off our South East Asia journey. The rooms are small but if you do Bangkok properly it should only be used as a Base. It's so convenient for nightlife & Thai restaurants as well...

Staying in Banglamphu

Neighbourhood Profile
Banglamphu
While you’ll see skyscrapers in most parts of Bangkok, it’s the gilded roofs of ancient pagodas that adorn the skyline of Banglamphu, the city’s historical and most touristic district. Hordes of tourists flock to this area to tick quite a few must-see attractions off their to-do list, with the Grand Palace being the most spectacular of them all. Banglamphu is also home to Bangkok’s infamous tourist ghetto, centered around Khao San Road. Visit at night to feast on road-side pad thai, cheap beers and if you’re up for it, some dancing fueled by buckets of Thai whiskey.
