I had read a few reviews on the location of the hotel. In fact, the taxi driver did not know the exact location even though we were on Baan Sukhumvit soi 18. The hotel is located in a lateral street. The first impression is not very good. The hotel is situated between a few appartments, laundry services and two massage...

have used this hotel several times and the standards have never dropped. Kevin keeps control of his staff. breakfast is cooked beautifully and there is a selection to choose from. beds are a little hard but good for me with back problems. rooms very clean and with the lift there are no problems accessing high floors. close to the Skytrain...

Don't be put off by its location! - situated in a decidedly grubby sub-soi just off Soi 18, it was actually quite a surprise when my wife and I saw how nicely the place has been created. Very attractive outside and in, clean, comfortable rooms and very good breakfasts and, of course, within a very short walk of all the...

The location of this hotel is fantastic. You are about 5 mins walk from the sky train and Sukhumvit Metro. The hotel is down a side street on Soi 18 meaning it is also quiet. The rooms were clean and the breakfast was tasty. The owner is very friendly and gave us lots of information about the city and our...

We had a standard double room for 4 nights, in December 2015. The owner was very friendly and provided us a lot of useful information. Nice size of the room and bathroom. Quiet at night, because it is on a sidestreet. Tasty breakfast (even if not buffet, the food was very nice). Location - really close to the Asok BTS...

So far I have seen all positive things of this hotel other than the wifi was very week in the room. Room was good and definitely the location is a plus.. It's value of money considering everything... Also the manger and owner of this hotel was helpful for my booking though my credit card was not working at the time...

Not sure what the love for this place is about. While the staff was exceptionally friendly and helpful, our room was not great. There were ants in the bathroom, and overall it looked very worn, unclean, and depressing (the room is sort of 1970s brown and the bathroom has faux brown rocks on the walls). The shower was pretty awful...

Good, quiet location, but walking distance to lots of restaurants & shopping as well as near the subway and BTS train. Staff were very helpful, good breakfast, clean & quiet room. The street looks a little dodgy, but it was just fine. A little tough to find the hotel, so check Google Maps, etc, first!

The small side street leading to the hotel is not very welcoming. But if you reach the end of the street you will enter the nice and cosy hotel with his welcoming staff. We spend 3 nights in the hotel and the rooms were very quiet and the ac worked fine. The bathrooms are clean and the showers are strong...

Sukhumvit area is near the underground, the sky train, cabs, street food, local shopping and access to everywhere else in the city. The staff at Baan Sukhumvit Inn Soi 18 knows them all. Even with directions I managed to get lost in this massive city but I was always able to find my way back even when coming in from...

Staying in Sukhumvit

Neighbourhood Profile
Sukhumvit
With a mix of shopping malls, hip bars and food stalls lining both sides of Thailand’s longest road, you’ll rarely encounter a dull moment along Sukhumvit. While the main road itself doesn't offer a lot in terms of entertainment, it's the adjoining 'sois' (alleys) where the magic happens. Popular spots are soi 11 for a lively night out, soi 4 for naughty nightlife and soi 21 for world-class shopping at Terminal 21. It's hard to cover everything this area has to offer in on day, so be sure to take your time. Sukhumvit is heavily congested with traffic during day and night, so getting from A to B is most convenient using the BTS Skytrain right above it.
