From my experience the staff are super friendly and will do anything to help you. The rooms are very clean with nice bed sheets. I got a single room for 900baht which is very reasonable for what you get and the room is right at the back so you'll hear no noise from the street. The location is the best...

I had a few days to spend in Bangkok, before I met friends there, so I checked in /reserved in advance/ three nights here, asking for a room away from the street noise. I got one, on the fifth floor, facing the further most back of the building. Still, the street noise was palpable, though I should add, to a...

Well if you get this hotel at a reasonable price on Agodo be prepared to be put in the worst room possible. Be persuaded it's the only room available in the whole hotel only to see a walk in booking taking place 30mins later. Staff (male) are rude and unhelpful - don't sinc your phone to the wi fi as...

The staff here is extremly rude to their guests, i never experienced something like this before! I planned to stay 4 nights but will leave after one. The only smile i received was when i handed in the money, besides they were extremely unfriendly to me! Also the rooms are very noisy. Who plans to go to bed before 3am...

The rooms themselves are okay, what you would expect for the $30 or so dollars. I asked for a room on a higher lever away from the road as it is VERY noisy. I wouldn't stay here again because of the staff.. I was in a situation where my travel cards were not working - pretty scary for a single...

Hotels on Khaosan generally jump from cheap & nasty, to expensive & ok. This is a good upper mid-range depending on your budget and mindset. Room was clean and spacious with a decent balcony for drying clothes but too unpleasant to really do anything else - no furniture and the aircon unit blows on it. The bathroom could be a...

Not super cheap but its a pretty good value. Nice lobby, nice rooms, decent breakfast, great location. I paid about $30/night with agoda. Try to book ahead cause it fills up pretty quick. A decent hotel that isn't quite as good but is similar is Rikka Inn, which is right across the street and has a pool.

I stayed there twice and yes, compared to what you can have in Bangkok, it's a truly good quality/price. The cleaness is done everyday and the rooms were very comfortable, I didn't hear nothing at night. That true, the bathroom is not as like as the " standard "bathroom but you can easily have a shower, the fact is that...

We stayed here for a few nights as the location was pretty handy. Our friend who we are travelling with had a smaller budget so he had to stay just down the road. We have been sharing items such as computers, hard drives and power boards this whole trip. When our friend came to visit us and borrow an adapter...

Staying in Banglamphu

Neighbourhood Profile
Banglamphu
While you’ll see skyscrapers in most parts of Bangkok, it’s the gilded roofs of ancient pagodas that adorn the skyline of Banglamphu, the city’s historical and most touristic district. Hordes of tourists flock to this area to tick quite a few must-see attractions off their to-do list, with the Grand Palace being the most spectacular of them all. Banglamphu is also home to Bangkok’s infamous tourist ghetto, centered around Khao San Road. Visit at night to feast on road-side pad thai, cheap beers and if you’re up for it, some dancing fueled by buckets of Thai whiskey.
