Bangkok is a hard city to find a hotel room that will accommodate a family of 4 and not very many hotels have connecting rooms. Even though family room with bunk beds was booked when we searched, we ended up taking the connecting rooms which was a great choice. The location of the hotel is fantastic, only 500m away from the metro BTS station Nana and close to the shopping mall Terminal 21 that has big variety of restaurant choices. There are massage places close by (I suggest the one close to Hyatt). Rooms are on the smaller size, but clean. Hotel is new, which shows. Breakfast buffet is sufficient with mix of Eastern and Western choices and they have a guy making eggs, but unfortunately, they always burn them. The roof top pool is small but nice and kids enjoyed it. Negative: Beds are hard and pillows are terrible quality. I booked direct through hotel and never got an email confirmation (yes I checked the junk mail). I tried to contact the hotel through email and they did not respond. I was finally able to get a hold of them by chat and obtain my reservation number. I requested a higher floor room (due to noise below) far in advance (during the direct booking and through chat), but when we showed up they gave us floor 3 - far from what I requested months ahead! I was told it was a booked hotel, but I didn't budge and suddenly they had a room on the 7th floor. All in all even with all the negatives I would still suggest this hotel as a good choice for Bangkok visit.

Dear mamasanja, Thank you for your kind review. We are glad that you had an overall positive stay experience with us. We use Jaspal for both pillows and beds. We have just been operating for five months only, they are actually still very new as well as the premium brand here. Perhaps they are not the quality you expected though, this is on us and for that, we are sorry. Room assignment can only be made on the day of guest arrival, not prior as we have movement of the rooms all the time. Guest request like high floor can be arranged subject to hotel availability on the arrival date only. We seek for your kind understanding on this subject matter. We believe there was something to do with the email system you use as guests will normally receive an instant confirmation document email immediately after booking is made. We in point of fact responds to all emails from guests, never miss one. With regards to your breakfast experience at the eggs station, we will use your feedback to improve our service. Thanks again. Best regards, General Manager

Very great services, room and food.
Internet is 25mb upload and 25 mb download ping is 25 to 5 ms stable.
It is convenient that staff understands English and you can contact through line or whatups app.
We stay here for 10 days Q and food option was great India,Chinese,Thai & European menus to choose every day.
They give us plate and spoon, water supply and lots of small things, even sponge for cleaning plate and spoon.
They give you some free snack but you can buy more from 7/11 through their reception.
We will come back here again.
Thanks for the service.

We stayed for 3 nights at this hotel with our 2 children. The family room with bunk beds was nice and clean. The location is ideal to visit Bangkok as it is at walking distance from the skytrain (Nana station). The neighbourhood is very lively, with lots of shops, restaurants, bars and street food stalls all around. It is very easy to find a taxi in this area and the hotel will help with transportation if needed. Breakfast is fairly good and the rooftop restaurant is definitely a plus. The small but beautiful swimming pool is very appreciated after a day of visiting and walking in the hot and crowded streets of Bangkok.
The only downside for me was the concierge service. I contacted the hotel a few days before arrival to request some information about cycling and boat tours in the khlongs areas. The hotel answered that I should ask the concierge directly upon arrival, which I did. But the concierge did not address my request and tried to sell me one of the packaged minivan tours of palaces and floating markets instead. So my advice would be to book in advance with a local agency on the internet.

I write this to help others decide.

Soi 11 is a nice area to explore, and this hotel is new with clean rooms. Check in was very nice. It all goes downhill from there.

Room are extremely small compared to other hotels in the area (I tried them all). Front office manager is very dishonest man who locked my friends out of their room for 1.5 hours in their swimming trunks at the lobby because hotel wanted to downgrade their rooms. Only when I stepped in to clarify and later confirmed that it was the hotel mistake, he allowed my friends into their rooms. He only pointed out that it was a "miscommunication between Expedia and his hotel" which caused him to lock my collegues out of their room. No prior attempt was made by the hotel to notify my collegues either by slipping a note, or a telephone call to the room.

Honest mistakes will always happen, but usually a hotel manager corrects the problem and we move on. What happened to my collegues should never have happened, at worst case, given an apology from the hotel which never happened.

You are will get better "value" in terms of bigger room size, better breakfast, and better service at at least 3 hotels within stone throw away at the same Soi.

Dear pete433, We appreciate you taking the time to write this review, on behalf of everyone in the team, I am sorry to hear that your stay did not meet your expectations. However, allow us to try our best to tell you and other travelers the other side of story. You and your friends originally booked a total of 3 grand deluxe rooms during the period of 5 - 7 December 2019 (2 nights) via Expedia. You came alone to check in on 5 December 2019 and asked us for help to change the stay period of the other two rooms to 6 - 8 December 2019 (2 nights) instead. We anticipated a full house situation and were running short of the grand deluxe room type on 7 December 2019 and we informed you that upfront, we finally agreed for you to move the other two bookings to the requested period however, you needed to be moved to deluxe room type instead for both rooms. We contacted Expedia support team about this for help and they confirmed the changes, on the same day, they sent us the revised booking vouchers (FYI - Expedia has a voice recording system, they have everything recorded). Upon the arrival of the other two rooms on 6 December 2019, we also reminded your friends that they needed to move the rooms from grand deluxe to deluxe rooms on 7 December 2019 as we mutually agreed on. On 7 December 2019 after lunch time, you did not come to contact our reception for room change, we tried to reach you in the room several times by phone calls, you could not be contacted at all, we also sent the messages to you in your rooms, after our several attempts, we had no other options but needed to cancel your room keys as the new guests were coming to check in at anytime soon. Not long after that, you approached our reception desk that you were already charged by another USD 25 by Expedia to stay in the original room type, and that you no longer agreed to change the rooms to deluxe as we discussed and agreed on earlier. We then contacted Expedia to clarify the issue, Expedia support team confirmed to us that the charge was made but it was the fee for revising booking vouchers only, not for you to stay in the original room type. Again, they have everything recorded in their system. You refused to listen to this explanation no matter how hard we tried. In the end, you did not change the rooms and stay in those rooms until checkout and we needed to manage the overbooking of grand deluxe room type of other guests by ourselves. You fail to mention these facts to other travelers. Your antics were fortunately captured on our CCTV system. As you can see on other reviews, we always value truthful customer opinions and try to assist our customers in any way we can. We would therefore invite anyone reading this review to make their own judgement. Best regards, General Manager

Stayed at Eleven for 3 nights between Christmas and new year. Very easy to find and close to Nana BTS station (although entrances and exits to the BTS are rarely luggage friendly! If you have luggage and travelling into Bangkok on the airport link, I would get a tuk tuk or taxi from the nearest airport link station elevator!)

Sukhumvit Soi 11 is a very rowdy busy road, quite a bit of traffic which can be heard from my room. The hotel is directly above a German bar and next to Hemmingways restaurant/ bar and Aussie bar nearby so very noisy til 2AM.. earplugs definitely recommended if you need a good nights sleep.

Check in was efficient and my room was ready on my arrival around noon. Room was very comfortable, King bed was enormous and very comfy. Aircon is a little noisy.

Welcome drinks voucher was issued, and I enjoyed a nice gin cocktail up at the roof bar, however there as very little atmosphere, you would be better off going downstairs to the German bar for happy hour or any of the bars within minutes along Soi 11.

Breakfast was buffet style, which could get crowded due to the layout of the restaurant. Breakfast offering was adequate but there was an egg station which was the highlight., there were also Asian dishes sushi, pastries and some western sausages and bacon. The coffee, unfortunately was not great. There is a Starbucks across the road below the Mercure though. There are plenty of options for food nearby, western and local and 7-elevens within minutes in either direction left or right from the hotel.

Pool area is lovely, though didn't get a change to enjoy it. There is a very small gym, again didn't have a change to use it - cardio machines mainly and very little else in the way of weights.

Reception staff were very pleasant and helpful.

Would consider staying again, but there are lots of options on Soi 11 to choose from.

Overall I had an good stay.. ok mid range price for the time of year.

Dear Mei C, Thank you for the great review! We’re so happy you loved your recent stay experience. We really appreciate your feedback. Looking forward to welcoming you again soon. Note: Starbucks is located on the opposite side of the hotel below Grand President Hotel, not Mercure. Also, Sukhumvit 11 is a prime tourist spot for those who are interested in night life entertainment so yes the street could get noisy and messy especially during the festive season. Best regards, General Manager

My partner and I stayed for 15 days at the XI hotel for quarantine in early January 2021. Overall we enjoyed our stay at the hotel. Our room had a big window- the light that came in through the window really helped to lift our mood from being "stuck" in a hotel room for two weeks. The bed and pillows were super comfortable. I am in my third trimester of pregnancy and I didn't have any trouble sleeping during our entire stay there. The staff were very attentive to our needs as well, which we truly appreciated. We also felt very safe with all the safety measures implemented by the hotel staff.
The only thing that can be improved is the variety and quality of food. There were a lack of variety of food and by week-2, I was so sick of the hotel food already that I almost wanted to skip my meals.

Me, my husband and 13 year old daughter stayed here for 3 nights in December at the start of our Thailand tour. We were very happy with this hotel and thought it was good value for money. We had interconnecting rooms so our daughter had her own space and we had some privacy. The rooms had excellent facilities - a safe, fridge and kettle with tea and coffee, a British plug socket so we didn’t have to use an adapter, TV had some English channels. The bed was comfortable and the shower worked well, as did the WiFi and air conditioning. The hotel is ideally located in the centre of Sukhumvit with loads and loads of places to eat and drink. 7/11 stores and pharmacies etc nearby. Large shopping mall (Terminal 21) is a short walk away and it’s close to the Sky Train for accessing other parts of the city. But despite being so central the hotel is not noisy because it is positioned on a quiet side street. The rooftop pool is lovely and has the bar next to it for cocktails. It’s very easy to get a TukTuk or taxi from the street by here or the hotel will call you one, alternatively download the Grab app (SE Asias Uber). I pre booked a taxi from the international airport to this hotel online prior to our departure, we were travelling as a group of 5, and this cost £25, it would be cheaper if there were less people, allow 45 minutes to an hour for the journey. Because we rated this hotel very highly for the price paid, we have rebooked it for when we return to Bangkok for our flight home, so thanks for a nice stay and see you again soon.

Stayed in the superior room which is spacious enough for twin sharing. Esp love the bathroom which is a good size with luxurious feel to it. Hotel is well located inside a lane off the main road so its rather peaceful despite being in a busy area.

Only thing is that the buffet breakfast is a tad pricey so we decided to give it a miss completely.
