Visited only for one night, the staff were fantastic, very accommodating and happy to give you any information that you need! There is also an Indian resturaunt downstairs which serves fantastic food. Only negative point was the beds are like rock and there are no safety deposit boxes in the dorms.

Payed for a budget hostel got a dump! The only thing that was good was the staff who were lovely and friendly. Walking to the room at the end of a dirty corridor it smelt of sweage. The room was a double bed with a large towel for a blanket the bed was as hard as a table. The floor...

Rainbow GH - is an excellent budget option , right at the heart of khaosan road and 1 minute walk to the famous monastery . Run by an amazingly friendly group of young men from Burma - There is a superb Indian restaurant attached to the hostel - I visited twice once solo and once with my wife - both...

We had arrived in Bangkok around 7pm with nowhere booked in advance. We headed in to query prices and got quoted 500 baht for a double room w/ aircon for 1 night. The room was filthy (bathroom even worse) and you're provided with a large towel for a blanket. The bed is literally a piece of plastic with a bed...

Very bad. Dirty, wc broken and shower inexistent. I saw a mouse yesterday night. The slowest wi fi in the world. BUT: cheapest choice, central area and friendly staff. I knew and so in some way I am not disappointed. Be prepared.

As a seriously budget traveller, I'm no accommodation snob, but for some reason this room felt a bit grimy. Location across the road to Khaosan Road and near some really good street food markets, The Rainbow Khaosan is perfectly situated but the rooms are musty, windowless and very stale. There are places directly on Khaosan Road which in hindsight were...

The rooms are very dated, but clean - the staff were very helpful and super friendly! What was great was the hostel is literally round the corner from the infamous Khaosan Road which was perfect for us as we wanted to party. A few minor issues: we got a room that was supposed to have AC but when we got...

My boyfriend and stayed there just a few days ago in their apparent deluxe room. Their idea of a deluxe room is aircon that smells, a rock hard smelly bed with a large towel for a duvet and genuinely an unpleasant room. The sink was leaking in the en suite so it made the whole room smell damp and similar...

Lovely restaurant downstairs but this review is for the accommodation... It was terrible. Stank of sewage in the room, walls were falling apart, we could hear rowdy northerners down the corridor until 5am, the en-suite was much much worse than the horrible shared toilets. The duvet was literally a towel. No windows. The bed stank... HOWEVER the location is fantastic...

The room, bed sheets were dirty and in 5 days nobody came to clean. Mattress is so hard very poor wifi connection. The position is good just near khaosan rd. Good indian food. You will find cleaner places for same money. Guys are nice just if u eat there.

Staying in Banglamphu

Neighbourhood Profile
Banglamphu
While you’ll see skyscrapers in most parts of Bangkok, it’s the gilded roofs of ancient pagodas that adorn the skyline of Banglamphu, the city’s historical and most touristic district. Hordes of tourists flock to this area to tick quite a few must-see attractions off their to-do list, with the Grand Palace being the most spectacular of them all. Banglamphu is also home to Bangkok’s infamous tourist ghetto, centered around Khao San Road. Visit at night to feast on road-side pad thai, cheap beers and if you’re up for it, some dancing fueled by buckets of Thai whiskey.
