The location of the hotel was disappointing. Away from the city. You won't find any shops opened after 6:30 pm. No good restaurant to eat in the nearby places. Also, the rooms were not good. AC was not working my room. Not at all comfortable stay there.

This Hotel is one of the nicest experience you get in Bangok. The architecture is very traditional and the rooms are clean and beautiful. The staff is always nice and can help you with everything and they are also very flexible. The location of the Hotel is also very good- the main palace you can reach by foot and china...

Everything was in order, the room was simple but big and comfortable with a good sized bathroom. Doesn't face onto street so not traffic noise, room in general was quiet. Have facilities to store your bags on your check-out day and for a small price they let you shower without having a room, making our onward journey more comfortable. Nice...

This was our third stay at this lovely hotel. It's in a quiet neighbourhood and is hidden in a small lane. It has a lovely courtyard with a fish pond. And... they include a delicious breakfast. The rooms are comfortable and the staff helpful.

Stayed here in a 4 bed room, for 2 nights at the beginning of my trip. Very clean and spacious rooms. Good AC and big lockers. Beautiful garden and surroundings. Surprisingly quiet even though its located next to busy roads. Not the most social hostel but if you're looking for a calm place to rest after a long flight, i...

I stayed only one night in this clean and centrally located guesthouse before heading to the west coast. Perfect place for resting and recovering energy after a day hopping from one temple to another (most relevant as they are in walking distance) or even a crazy night spent in the bustling area of khao San (for those love it). Beds...

We visited BKK on the main purpose of giving our highest respect to King Rama IX at the Royal Palace, at walking distance from the hotel. Then we found that this place is so, so calmful. With a very kind service and hospitality of staff, we recommend who wish to have time to walk in central old town, visit temples...

While a bit hard for our taxi to find, we purchased data at the airport and turned on our google map to assist our driver and found the place just fine. From the looks of the streets and outside appearance, I wasn't too sure about my booking. Rest assured, it's a hidden gem in the back. The rooms are clean...

My parents (58 and 69) and I (31) stayed at Feung Nakorn Balcony for three nights in December 2016. In total, we enjoyed our stay. The hotel is situated on Feung Nakorn Road, all major sights are in walking distance. Khao San Road is a 15-20 minutes walk away. Despite its central location, the hotel is very quiet. The rooms...

Very pleasant family run hotel in great location in the old city, but be sure to download their taxi map and thai language directions from their website if arriving by taxi. Vegan menu ("ahaan jay") available in cafe for lunch and dinner, and on request a dish from the vegan menu can also be obtained at no extra charge as...

Staying in Banglamphu

Neighbourhood Profile
Banglamphu
While you’ll see skyscrapers in most parts of Bangkok, it’s the gilded roofs of ancient pagodas that adorn the skyline of Banglamphu, the city’s historical and most touristic district. Hordes of tourists flock to this area to tick quite a few must-see attractions off their to-do list, with the Grand Palace being the most spectacular of them all. Banglamphu is also home to Bangkok’s infamous tourist ghetto, centered around Khao San Road. Visit at night to feast on road-side pad thai, cheap beers and if you’re up for it, some dancing fueled by buckets of Thai whiskey.
