Baan Silom Soi 3 does just about everything well. The room was large, the bed was big and comfortable, and the bathroom was really big! The staff were friendly, but they either speak English very well, or not at all. This hotel is near skytrain stations, restaurants, etc., but it is very quiet at night. I would suggest printing a...

If you want a small, quiet, (16 rooms, I think) hotel, family run style, on a street just close to the big lanes (Thanon Silom), close to the BTS stations (Sala Daeng), Patpong, this area is lively day and night... Big, extremely clean rooms, modern furniture, free Wi-Fi (working well!), good bed, extremely pleasant front area outside the little lobby,...

I guess this hotel is a family business. How else could everyone there be so happy and friendly to the customers? Only 4 rooms on one floor, but that makes the rooms even more quiet. Large rooms with a nice bed, fridge, old tv and everything else you need. Convenient walk to the Silom fun area and also to Chong...

This hotel is very comfortable and well put together. It's right on Thanon Silom, which is where's it's at. The place is surrounded by a couple of nice restaurants including a great Middle Eastern place. The room was impecibly clean and had modern furniture. I stayed there with my girlfriend and she was pretty excited about the place. I recommend...

While I did not really compare the price much to other places in Bangkok, I was satisfied with the stay. The staff working at the front were friendly, although mostly, they did not speak much English. While I do not think they necessarily need to speak much English, it would be nice if they were instructed to put you in...

Found this place purely by accident and we are glad we did. Although quite basic the rooms are quite spacious, comfortable and spotlessly clean. The staff are exceptional and the son of the owner speaks fluent English, a real asset to this place. Its a family run business which shows and we could not fault it. The shower and bathroom...

Very helpful staff, brilliant location, clean and nice rooms (standard or superior, we tried both) with reasonable price. Perfect for a stay in Bangkok. We returned there 3 times during our stay in Thailand. Go without an hesitation! ps : Be careful not having a tricky request out of the administrative working time, because only the watchman is in and...

an update. We did get good hot showers a couple of nights so maybe it was about timing. Never a cold shower though, just warm leading to hot. We stayed a total of 9 nights. And even though the bed was hard (and I have to admit I like a soft bed), we both slept well each night after long...

Staying here now with my daughter. Walk down the lane and there is the main road. Train stop is just a minute walk up that rd. night markets the same. 7-11 is opposite hotel. Chemist and banks and food stores around the first corner. Day stalls are all about. Motel room is clean and a good size for a couple...

Stayed here for 3 nights in Nov 2011. The rooms were light and spacious, very big! Comfy beds. The service staff are VERY nice, especially the older security guard with a big toothy smile :) This hotel is family run. The location is really good, close to major stations, so you can pretty much go in any direction. The staff...

Staying in Silom

Neighbourhood Profile
Silom
Despite the lack of any major tourist attractions, this lively neighborhood is a favorite of many. Whether it's the (somewhat naughty) nightlife of Soi Patpong, the various handicraft night markets or the plethora of dining options that tickle your fancy, a night out in Silom is a must on every itinerary. It's worth a stop during daytime, too: join office workers on a quest to tasty street food during lunch and shop at Silom Complex for a great mix of Thai and international stores. After a day of strolling around the congested sidewalks, a visit to Silom's Lumphini Park, Bangkok's answer to NYC's Central Park, is a welcome change of scenery.

“Got a room in first floor in the front of building. Besides Bangkok been a noisy city, we don´t have issues in room. But we believe that upper rooms are better. And the hotel have a elevator, so no problem.”
