We did not stay at the guest house. We just went to the rooftop bar, it gives you an amazing view of Bangkok. Esp Wat Arun and Chao Pharya river. Nice collection of beers and mocktails, you can spend some time at the rooftop bar

Extremely friendly service and great view of Wat Arun if you can book riverside deluxe room. And spectacular sunset over Wat Arun is priceless. When you walk out, you have a view of golden Wat Po. Around corner is Wat Po massage school for your daily Thai massage! Lots of trendy hotels and restaurants by river front and they are...

The location of this hotel is just great. Wat Pho literally just outside of the alley leading to the hotel, and walking distance to the Grand Palace, the Flower Market and the pier to Wat Arun. I strongly recommend taking the room overlooking the river and Wat Arun, the view of the sun setting at Wat Arun is just magical!...

We spent three nights in this cute little hotel. The narrow street leading to thr hotel doesn't look like much, but the hotel is great. Our room was overlooking the river, offering great view of the wat Arun and the river. Please note that staying at a river side hotel means great view, but also hearing the noisy boats touring...

I had a beautiful stay at Sala Arun. The Staff where amazing, a little bit of respect goes a long way, it is the way to see Bangkok. Thank you for Everything. The food was fantastic, most of the attractions are in walking distance. Homework of customs is a must. I miss Thailand already

Overall, this hotel is very nice. Our room was spacious, clean and had a great view overlooking the river. After checking in, we explored the neighborhood. When we returned to our room it had the distinct smell of sewage. The smell lingered the entire night and into the morning. We didn't make a big deal about it since we were...

Absolutely loved this boutique hotel. We wanted a hotel that was Thai run and this did very well! Positives: * Fab location right by Wat Pho and the Grand Palace, only 10 mins in a tuk tuk to Khao San Road * The coffee at breakfast is really good * The bar and restaurant are right on the river which...

It was a nice first impression. even though it's not a five star hotel but for its service it had done very well. All staff said getting to me courteously that made me feel very happy. but for the bad point its food and beverages are quite expensive and also some facilities that it proves to the guests don't work...

This is the second time we stayed in sala arun. Im sorry to say but the high service and friendly staff has gone. The rooms are mouldy and needs to be renovated. It s far to expensive for what you get.

We stayed here for our honeymoon, and we were literally only able to sleep from 3am-6am. The roof bar is incredibly noisy, and even after the bar has closed the staff stomp up and down the stairs only 2 meters away from the hotel rooms taking glasses up and down to clean them. Staff were initially apologetic, but nothing had...

Staying in Banglamphu

Neighbourhood Profile
While you’ll see skyscrapers in most parts of Bangkok, it’s the gilded roofs of ancient pagodas that adorn the skyline of Banglamphu, the city’s historical and most touristic district. Hordes of tourists flock to this area to tick quite a few must-see attractions off their to-do list, with the Grand Palace being the most spectacular of them all. Banglamphu is also home to Bangkok’s infamous tourist ghetto, centered around Khao San Road. Visit at night to feast on road-side pad thai, cheap beers and if you’re up for it, some dancing fueled by buckets of Thai whiskey.
