I stated here for three nights. The rooms available are small with 10 bunk beds inside and a shared bathroom with a small balcony. There is a restaurant and bar downstairs which has a really relaxed vibe by the river. It's a nice place to chill out downstairs. They have live music most nights which is cool - but not...

I've stayed at this hostel for 4 or 5 times in the past seven months. The staff recognizes me and greets me with warmth at every return. There is both AC and fans in the dorm and I've met the best of people that I've met on my entire travels in this dorm. Perfect distance to both public transport, Grand...

Fabulous location right near Khaosan road which is great for shopping, bars, street food and restaurants! The rooms are basic but clean - you get what you pay for. Staff were very friendly and offered me a free bottle of water on arrival when I mentioned I was thirsty. The next evening the manageress offered me a glass of grape...

Good location, decent rooms, but that's where it ends. Booked in for 2 nights, but stayed just for the one. A staff member seemed to become a little annoyed after I didn't book a tour through him, despite him lowering the (still-too-high price) as if he were a tuk tuk driver. The next morning, I noticed that almost all the...

On arrival the staff were very rude!! I was shown my room. The young girl said nothing to me. She had a real attitude. The bed was filthy. I asked for it to be changed and when i came back it still wasn't changed. I'd understand if they were busy but there is literally no one here. They sit on...

On arriving and after seeing the room, I was asked to pay 1000 cash before registering. Room had no water, and as I complained, the manager PHYSICALLY AGRESSED ME AND ripped the keys off my hand, HE NEVER HANDED THE MONEY BACK. The way he did it I could tell I was not the first vicitim. BUT THIS INSIDE CAME...

Staying in Banglamphu

Neighbourhood Profile
Banglamphu
While you’ll see skyscrapers in most parts of Bangkok, it’s the gilded roofs of ancient pagodas that adorn the skyline of Banglamphu, the city’s historical and most touristic district. Hordes of tourists flock to this area to tick quite a few must-see attractions off their to-do list, with the Grand Palace being the most spectacular of them all. Banglamphu is also home to Bangkok’s infamous tourist ghetto, centered around Khao San Road. Visit at night to feast on road-side pad thai, cheap beers and if you’re up for it, some dancing fueled by buckets of Thai whiskey.
