Nestled on the Chao Praya riverside away from the hustle and bustle of the Bangkok central shopping and business district, The Siam is the perfect way to enjoy Bangkok in five star style. Actually, it’s more like six. The Siam is a property that gently unfolds as you discover it’s beauty – it’s nooks and crannies, stunning garden spaces and...

It is not often that you come to a hotel that gives you the feeling of another era but maintains all the comforts of 2016. The rooms are large and amazing (a bit on the dark side), the service great. The only issue is that it is not as well located and you must use their water shuttle. Otherwise you...

As a hotel lover, I have been to a lot of hotels in the world. The Siam is no doubt among the best hotels I have been to and the highlight of our entire Bangkok trip! Although I have only experienced the spa service for one afternoon instead of staying in the hotel for several nights, the friendly staff and...

Beautifully dedigned urban oasis overlooking the river. The luxury of watery courtyards and cloistered walkways - complete museum worthy exhibits and library. The villa with internal gardens and pools are superb. spa is good but the snooker table is too close to the sunken reception and the noise is bothersome quite a way from the centre of Bangkok so once...

Stepping into The Siam is literally stepping out of time in an extraordinary atmosphere between past, present, the West and Asia; in other word a beautiful metaphor for Bangkok. Refined yet cosy, elegant yet trendy, the attention to details is impressive and creates an exceptional environment. Above all, it is the smiles, willingness to help/go the extra mile of the...

We stayed a while back in december the Hotel was quite busy, especially the Pool which could have been a bit bigger for the size of the Hotel, also breakfast was a bit limited. Apart from that all the rest was fantastic from the pick up by boat from the Samphan Taksin Pier,to the friendly check in and great room ( we...

We spent our anniversary there and the hotel exceeded our expectations. The hotel helped me surprise my wife by arranging the hotel water shuttle boat at Thaksin pier, with a bottle of white wine. I totally recommend anyone to reach the hotel by boat as the experience is amazing. The food was great too. I'm thai, so am quite skeptical...

The Siam provides distinctive and luxurious facilities in surroundings of tranquil and beauty among the chaos and fast pace of Bangkok .An urban retreat of the highest quality. You instantly feel relaxed in the exclusive and idyllic setting, and the Siam is the perfect place to unwind . I arrived by boat at their private launch and was greeted by...

The decor and energy of this hotel is elite but not snobby. The staff is welcoming and eager to make your stay comfortable. Our suite was gorgeous, and after a 21 flight - all the wide open space was a wonderful delight. Every time we walked to our room or to breakfast we were just in awe of all the...

Staying in Dusit

Neighbourhood Profile
Dusit
When wandering around the Dusit Palace grounds, you'd almost forget you're still in a Southeast-Asian city. The Renaissance-style buildings and leafy gardens wouldn't be out of place in an European capital, and the serenity here is in stark contrast with the chaotic city life outside of its complex walls. Dusit is one of Bangkok's oldest districts, and while the rest of Bangkok is modernising at a rapid pace, Dusit seems to have stood the test of time. Come here to find family businesses in traditional shophouses, small-scale local markets and streets unfazed by modern city life.
