It's a 5 mins walk to the BTS Phrom Phong which can take you to central Bangkok and also Airport.Very friendly and helpful staff, the room is very clean and a very good king size bed. There are many nice restaurants around.

Class act off Sukhumvit, only downside long walk to BTS. But no issue as lots of taxis and motorbikes to get you there. Was upgraded to wonderful suite, clean, quiet luxury. Good internet, helpful staff, lots of shops and restaurants nearby, good breakfast buffet too. Will be back.

I booked this hotel because I really needed a pool in this temperature. Unfortunately, the hotel staff will not inform you that their pool is under renovation, until you are done checking in. Other guests were having a hard time too, really needing to go for a swim in the heat. No compensation is given the guests for this rather...

We were here for a seminar in the meeting room on the second floor. The meeting room was very clean and pleasant. The snacks served during the breaks were delicious too. The service was excellent as the employees here were very friendly and always ready to assist us.

St James hotel is located near the Phrom Pong Station (BTS line) that runs along the Sukhumvit road, one of the most well known roads in the heart of Bangkok city. When you arrive you will immediately notice that the building is slightly older and smaller compared to it's next door neighbour, The Double Tree by Hilton. The lobby is...

This is not the best hotel we have stayed in! The posted rate for a standard room was β5,616 including taxes, we got it for considerably less than that. At what we paid it represents value for money. Overall it was comfortable but, like so may hotels in Thailand, it is badly in need of refurbishing. The room was a...

I'm used to staying in 5* hotels, but money was a little tighter for this trip, so I looked for a less expensive option. I hit the jackpot with the St James. It's a small / medium size hotel which offers excellent rooms, with the intimacy and friendliness you get in a small place. The facilities and amenities are limited....

Hotel is in desperate need of refurbishment, beds are hard and old, and the air conditioning system struggles until about 0200 in the morning. I would not trust any rating on here or Agoda. Thai food is ok, but western food is oily and below average.

This hotel is a short walk into soi 26 , right next to double tree hilton. The room is clean , tv was not working but not much of an issue as i only use the room for sleeping and shower. Lobby is nicely furnished. Pool is small and quaint but did not get much sunlight. The famous fishball noodles...

Stayed here for 5 nights recently and found the hotel to be excellent in all respects. The staff were all friendly and attentive, the rooms were clean and the beds were exceptionally comfortable. The restaurant provided a good standard of food, both at breakfast and dinner. The WiFi was was fast and reliable. Unfortunately the view from our room (415)...

Staying in Sukhumvit

Neighbourhood Profile
Sukhumvit
With a mix of shopping malls, hip bars and food stalls lining both sides of Thailand’s longest road, you’ll rarely encounter a dull moment along Sukhumvit. While the main road itself doesn't offer a lot in terms of entertainment, it's the adjoining 'sois' (alleys) where the magic happens. Popular spots are soi 11 for a lively night out, soi 4 for naughty nightlife and soi 21 for world-class shopping at Terminal 21. It's hard to cover everything this area has to offer in on day, so be sure to take your time. Sukhumvit is heavily congested with traffic during day and night, so getting from A to B is most convenient using the BTS Skytrain right above it.
