We chose this for the location and booked it through Expedia. Got a good deal on the rates. On arrival our standard room left a bit to be desired. Broken tiles, a worn out headboard (someone had been busy!), and 8 legged occupiers meant the room wasn't really up to scratch. I pointed this out to the Reception who offered...

This is a tired old hotel with outdated decor in the rooms. Personally that is fine with me - as long as I get a good nights sleep! Stayed for two nights in November 2016, a Thursday night and the following Sunday. Thursday night I liked the room I got allocated - spacious, reasonably quiet, great bathroom. The bed was...

We payed for a "Deluxe" suite, no tea or coffee facilities, no pool, wifi might as well be none existent, taxi was booked for 8am to the airport yet the morning call was 5am, this had to be the worst hotel we have stayed in in our travels of a beautiful trip to Thailand, I would never stay here again...

This quiet little hotel might not be the flashiest place in Bangkok, but it certainly ranks amongst the homeliest. Conveniently situated a 5 minute walk away from the humdrum that is Silom Road at night, so getting a good nights rest is not an issue. The hotel is surrounded by and essentially built on the upper storey of the small...

I always stay here when in Bangkok. I have all I need where and when I want. Thank you to the Silom Village people. There is public transportation at the door, if you want to use a bus, also near the station of the Sky train,

Good basic accommodation. The staff are friendly and ready to help. Excellent location in the heart of Silom. We will be back. Easy access to BTS sky train and MRT links so getting around is easy and cheap.

This hotel is in a great little area. Although we primarily ate at the street vendors the food down in the shops at lunch time was extremely good. The room was nice and clean. There was free wifi in the lobby. Definitely a great economy place to stay at.

This seems to be a mix of some old country mansion converted into small shopping area, hotel and eating place with some live shows sometimes. However hotel is just OK as I have seen far better comfort level at same price. Reception is unfriendly and seems biased for some reason. There is no bell boy - but then there is...

While in Bangkok with a group of friends for four days during Songkran, we made the most of the bar and restaurants in Silom Village. We all felt the location, food, service and value made it worthwhile to return.

Staying in Silom

Neighbourhood Profile
Silom
Despite the lack of any major tourist attractions, this lively neighborhood is a favorite of many. Whether it's the (somewhat naughty) nightlife of Soi Patpong, the various handicraft night markets or the plethora of dining options that tickle your fancy, a night out in Silom is a must on every itinerary. It's worth a stop during daytime, too: join office workers on a quest to tasty street food during lunch and shop at Silom Complex for a great mix of Thai and international stores. After a day of strolling around the congested sidewalks, a visit to Silom's Lumphini Park, Bangkok's answer to NYC's Central Park, is a welcome change of scenery.
