Cheap and basic. Very dark teak so very dark. Noisy too. But it was clean, bed and pillow were comfortable, basic breakfast included. I did get bitten a lot sitting in the lobby using the wifi, not in the room. Short walk to Nana sky train. I'll try somewhere else next time.

It was our first night in Thailand so I think our standards were quite low. It's clean but the beds are uncomfortable and the room was quite noisy. The space is great and has a charming feel. Staff weren't incredibly helpful as they don't speak great English. Overall we were satisfied.

We stayed here for three nights while in Bangkok. Good location near the skytrain, Siam Square etc. We took a twin room. Rooms were good enough. Hot water, air con all working. The place has a great laid back atmosphere with cool decor. There is also an In house laundry which is convenient. Price was okay for location but you...

I stayed for a night with some friends. The room was really basic but clean. It was affordable anf close to a nice market with plenty of stalls selling street food. A bit far from the Royal Palace área and Khao San, but still lovely area.

I came across this hostel 7 years ago. It was my favorite hostel of my trip at that time, so when I returne this summer I went to Suk 11 too and it was still great. Spacious rooms, clean bathrooms, but the water pressure for the showers was low. Wifi only in the lobby downstairs. The plants everywhere give a...

We stayed here our first two nights in Thailand. Love the eclectic and artistic vibe this place has. Room was clean and fairly quiet from the outside go of Bangkok. Suk 11 is in a great area to meet other travellers to compare notes and learn where to go and what not to do. We loved our stay here

Awesome little hostel, feels like the Jungle cruise met Indiana Jones on a small Thai street with a bunch of bars. A+ for character, friendly service, affordability, decent location and basic amenities. A bit dated and the rooms and dark hallways made it seem a little dirty - also no free breakfast and space to hang is a little limited...

Our family of 5 stayed here at the beginning and end of our Thailand adventure. This is a great location. Food and coffee right out he front door. Only a block from the Nana BTS. Morning breakfast with fruit, bread and coffee is good. We paid 60 baht extra for made to order omelettes that are delish. We booked the...

The hostel is worth a visit because it is so special. It is a green paradise in this unbelievable big city. But our room was very simple and not as clean as we wanted it to be. The walls are so thin that you can hear everything on the corridor, the shower and also the toilet is very small and...

This place *looks* super cool. Not the cheapest private room in Bangkok, but still reasonable (700 baht total for 2 people in a private, air-con room). The ambience is probably the best part: a wooden, treehouse-like building with lots of cozy nooks and crannies. It doesn't even feel like you're in Bangkok blocks away from Nana plaza, which I appreciated....

Staying in Sukhumvit

Neighbourhood Profile
Sukhumvit
With a mix of shopping malls, hip bars and food stalls lining both sides of Thailand’s longest road, you’ll rarely encounter a dull moment along Sukhumvit. While the main road itself doesn't offer a lot in terms of entertainment, it's the adjoining 'sois' (alleys) where the magic happens. Popular spots are soi 11 for a lively night out, soi 4 for naughty nightlife and soi 21 for world-class shopping at Terminal 21. It's hard to cover everything this area has to offer in on day, so be sure to take your time. Sukhumvit is heavily congested with traffic during day and night, so getting from A to B is most convenient using the BTS Skytrain right above it.

“The double rooms are very clean and comfy, especially for a backpacker!”
  • A bit noisy but nothing you can't sleep through.
  • Simple but really all you need, it works just fine and has both hot and cold water.
  • Less is more, this was really cool! And there's a lamp for all you late nite shower people.
