This is a great guest house. It is really well located: 5min from the river to catch a boat, 2 min from nice market place and really close to the main touristic areas. The service is great. The rooms are really clean. We booked 2 rooms: one for 2 and one for 3. The room for 2 was OK. The...

We stayed here for 4 nights in a double room. The location is excellent, just next to the tourist areas and situated in the middle of downtown Bangkok, but it is off the main roads and away from the noisy fanfare, tucked into a town block down an alley. The room we stayed in had a comfy bed, working air...

Only stayed here for one night but could've spent a lot longer here. The hotel is a short walk (5 mins) from Khao San Road, set away down a side street. So basically you get the best of both worlds, great location and very quiet. The room was spotless and a good size for myself and my boyfriend with a...

-Very clean rooms, furniture looked fairly new. Facilities ok, erratic warm water supply for shower. -Friendly staff, but also set clear rules. Reliable booking of shuttle bus tickets to airports. -Location: quiet area, still close to khao San. -Good wlan -Access seems to be more controlled (only guests) than in many other guesthouses.

The rooms are close to the colorful, more "happening" streets, but far enough to give you a peacefull sleep. A 7/11 shop is just around the corner, so are the lines of drivers and good food. Great location. We stayed for 2 nights and were almost alone in the building :) I felt really safe there, the gentleman who owns...

We stayed here for 4 nights, and it was a good decision. The location is great, just a 5 min walk to Khaosan but it's down a little alley (not dodgy) so nice and quiet. Room was a decent size, AC worked very well. Nice and clean, but sadly no fridge. Room was cleaned every day. There was a TV...

We were a bit concerned when we got there as we walked down the dimly lit to get to the hotel but quickly realized it's a very safe place with helpful staff!! Great location with easy access to everything we needed, yet off the busy sections enough that it wasn't noisy at night. Room was big, beds comfortable and air...

We stayed here for a few days while in Bangkok and we loved it. It was perfectly located, being close to all the action of Khoa San Road but away from the noise! The room was clean and one of the nicest we had had in a while, it was very cozy. The staff was friendly and helpful, definitely recommend...

The alleyway leading to the hotel may cause a bit of apprehension, but don't let it deter you. This was an excellent guesthouse in a great location. The room itself was nothing spectacular, but was clean and offered a spacious bathroom. Linens and the room were clean, and the common space is nice to lounge in either before or after...

We stayed here a few times while in Bangkok during some backpacking around Asia. I would highly recommend this place if your looking for a good mix of comfort, location and price. The staff were super friendly and always greeted us with a warm smile. The room was very clean and the bed was so amazingly comfortable. Best bed in...

Staying in Banglamphu

Neighbourhood Profile
Banglamphu
While you’ll see skyscrapers in most parts of Bangkok, it’s the gilded roofs of ancient pagodas that adorn the skyline of Banglamphu, the city’s historical and most touristic district. Hordes of tourists flock to this area to tick quite a few must-see attractions off their to-do list, with the Grand Palace being the most spectacular of them all. Banglamphu is also home to Bangkok’s infamous tourist ghetto, centered around Khao San Road. Visit at night to feast on road-side pad thai, cheap beers and if you’re up for it, some dancing fueled by buckets of Thai whiskey.
