Used this place for the start and ending of our Thailand trip. 1 night when arriving in Bangkok, 2 nights when leaving Bangkok back to Europe. Very friendly and English speaking staff. Good beds, clean rooms. Simple, but really can't expect more for this price. Paid 900 (20 euro at its current rate) bath per night for a two person...

Awesome and very clean hotel with great rooms, a nice bed and a good working hot shower! Close to Koh San Road and a few main attractions. If you want some peace at night, skip KSR and book a room at this place.

The location of the hotel is excellent as it is close to khao san road, to the waterfront and to the temples, but at the same time it is in a small quiet alley, so there is no noise from the street. However it is quite difficult to find as nobody knows it. If you go there, you can say...

This is a great hostel - it is walking distance to Khoa San road, and yet not on it, so you are away from all the noise. It is also walking distance to the pier and the main tourist attractions (Grand Palace etc.), which can all be explored on foot. The price is reasonable, the room is clean and we...

Great location 5 mins walk from Khao San Road and boat pier. Room was small-ish but clean and well equipped. Service was OK - not overly helpful but fine. The common room with internet access is full of mozzies so watch out!

Clean, comfortable, very helpful & friendly staff. Location is central but peaceful. Nice seating area on the ground floor as well as access to kitchen. Left luggage facility available and washer/dryer for laundry very reasonably priced.

Spent 5 nights in a double room here at the end of November. The location is great, close enough to Khao San without the noise and also only a few minutes walk to the river boat pier. Staff was friendly. Room was clean and I really liked the polished concrete. The bed was very comfortable. Air con worked great. Would...

Really pleased with the accommodation here - rooms are spotless, beds so comfortable, probably the cleanest bed sheets I have slept in,l in 3 months of travelling Nepal, India and Asia! Great hot shower with free toiletries, good air con unit and in a nice quiet area, only a short walk to the kao sahn road. There is a washing...

Staying in Banglamphu

Neighbourhood Profile
Banglamphu
While you’ll see skyscrapers in most parts of Bangkok, it’s the gilded roofs of ancient pagodas that adorn the skyline of Banglamphu, the city’s historical and most touristic district. Hordes of tourists flock to this area to tick quite a few must-see attractions off their to-do list, with the Grand Palace being the most spectacular of them all. Banglamphu is also home to Bangkok’s infamous tourist ghetto, centered around Khao San Road. Visit at night to feast on road-side pad thai, cheap beers and if you’re up for it, some dancing fueled by buckets of Thai whiskey.
