Location is perfect, Hua Lamphong railway station is just across the road and subway is a few steps further. Hotel is quite old and needs renovation, but beds are very comfortable. Hotel provides everyday cleaning service as well as free bottled water. You can leave valuable stuff in safe lockers in the reception for free. Breakfast is very simple, only...

When we got there it took them a long long time to find our booking. Even though we showed them our hotels.com voucher they just didn't seem to have any idea of what was going on. The beds were rock hard and there was a lot of dust on the headboard. I guess this hotel is okay for one night...

We stayed here for three nights. Rooms is really clean and spacious, breakfast is very-very basic and the free wifi is very-very poor, don't expect too much on these. The location is excellent, just about 150 meters from the Bangkok Train Station and Hualamphung MRT station, so it is very convenient to move around from here. I choose this hotel...

I have never understood why you had to pay more for a room during the weekends. That is finished now. All other details which I have mentioned in previous reviews are still valid. And there is also their restaurant "Valentine coffee shop", good food for lunch and dinner and good drinks also. During your dinner/lunch you can read your daily...

Very basic and nothing fancy accommodation but very clean and air conditioned rooms. The hotel is located right in front of Hua Lamphong station and is ideal for a short stay. Breakfast choice very limited but hot food is provided.

Krung Kasem Sri Krung Hotel in Bangkok was and still is my favorite hotel due to its close proximity to the Hualamphung Railway station. Although it was an old hotel resembling the nostalgia of the seventies, it is the best place I ever stayed in terms of budget, location, cleanliness, free WiFi, free breakfast and free 2 bottles of water...

Rooms were large and clean with balcony. Breakfast was good in restaurant but diner was tasteless and staff rude. Couldn't speak English and when we asked for the receipt they just said "no". Unfortunately no tea in room, when I asked for it they told me they didn't have it. My friend received a map, I had to pay for...

Staying in Chinatown / Yaowarat

Neighbourhood Profile
Chinatown / Yaowarat
Better known as 'Yaowarat' among locals, Chinatown is Bangkok's bustling district that never sleeps. During the day, the main street and its small alleyways are filled with a vibrant mix of colours, scents and flavours coming from the roadside restaurants and all-day markets. The real action, however, happens after sunset. Surrounded by neon lights, Thais and tourists alike flock here around dinnertime to feast on some of the best street food in town. Escape the chaos by venturing a little further from the main road and discover hidden shrines, friendly locals and daily life in its purest form.
