A friend recommended staying in the Silom area so i found this hotel on TripAdvisor, i wasn't quite sure at first, but we were surprised upon arrival. We were quite happy with the room that we got. The close proximity to shops and restaurants was a bonus. Patpong night market is just a few blocks away. There are plenty of...

We were so happy we switched from our usual hotel choice in Bangkok to this quaint boutique hotel. The smaller size really works in your favour. The staff could not be more attentive from the front reception to the restaurant which offers a delicious breakfast. The pool was very cozy and a great relief from the bustle of the city....

We decided to stay the last days in Bangkok at Silom Serene because of the location, the area, the facilities and the access to public transport. It’s the third time that we stayed at this hotel. The hotel is still a nice boutique hotel, well maintained and breakfast has improved. Unfortunately the staff is still not always welcoming and friendly...

once you stayed in a boutique hotel you will know. nothing really boutique on this place. it's close to a lot of things and thst's it. the rooms are standard L-shaped. the desk office is inpersonsl, no 'sawadee kap' in four days. there are much better alternatives that will greet you with the famous Thai smile. Not this place.

Thank you very much for taking the time to extend a review on our service at the Silom Serene, Bangkok. I am terribly sorry to hear that our Reception staff were not personable during your stay with us. I have sent your concern to our Director of Rooms as well as General Manager and will look into the issue to...

We have been to Thailand on 5 separate occasions now and have always stayed at the Silom Serene Hotel. The hotel is located down a small side road and the front of the hotel is quite plain looking but don't let that mislead you..once inside you enter a small reception area and you can see the pool glistening just beyond....

I've been here for 5 nights, the position is good, in 10 minutes you can reach the metro and the sky train. Just turn the corner and lots of taxis will be there, too. Near it there is the night market of Bangkok and lots of bars/ locals for sexy shows if you like them. The room are good , and...

We spent one night at this hotel at the end of a Two week holiday to Thailand We booked 2 of the most expensive deluxe rooms, as we fancied a bit of luxury after a wee of more basic accommodation, before flying out back to the UK. The rooms had a large double bed, clean bedding, and a well equipped...

The hotel is in a great location, just off Silom and close to sky train and MTR. The pool area is very nice and a little Oasis in Central Bangkok. The room though was a little tired and dated and there was a musty smell that was quite noticeable when entering the room. Having said that the room was comfortable...

I would not recommend this hotel. I booked 2 nights in a double room through booking.com. The pictures of the rooms are very different from the reality. All start on arrival, where the staff (and specifically a female receptionist) was very unfriendly and seemed to be inconvenienced by me wanting to check-in. I was informed I have been upgraded to...

This is "my home" when in Bangkok. The rooms are vast for a short or longer stay with toiletries, bath and shower. The hotel is under renovation but very quiet. This is my 5th stay there and I return again. Centrally located, minutes walk from BTS Station Sala Daeng. Pat Pong and all Silom soys, nearby Silom Complex. The free...

Staying in Silom

Neighbourhood Profile
Silom
Despite the lack of any major tourist attractions, this lively neighborhood is a favorite of many. Whether it's the (somewhat naughty) nightlife of Soi Patpong, the various handicraft night markets or the plethora of dining options that tickle your fancy, a night out in Silom is a must on every itinerary. It's worth a stop during daytime, too: join office workers on a quest to tasty street food during lunch and shop at Silom Complex for a great mix of Thai and international stores. After a day of strolling around the congested sidewalks, a visit to Silom's Lumphini Park, Bangkok's answer to NYC's Central Park, is a welcome change of scenery.
