New Joe's Guesthouse offers a large variety of international and Thai food. As I never tried any other than Thai food there, I can just talk about the Thai section of the menue. 1. GREEN CHICKEN CURRY 2. HOR MOK TALAY (red seafood curry and egg steamed) are amazing! The 2 Ladies cooking there are extremely lovely AND EVEN MORE...

We stayed at the New Joe Guest House for 3 nights while in Bangkok. The location was perfect for our short stay. The proximity to KSR meant we could easily drop in and out. The noise wasn't an issue though - the guest house is on a relatively peaceful street. We had a double room that was air conditioned. Everything...

We haven't stayed there but enjoy going here for breakfast. You can have a Western breakfast or Thai breakfast, we enjoy having a Thai breakfast, have always found the staff friendly, price is good & a lovely shaded area.

We stayed here on out first night in Thailand. It's just off Khao San road so is a good start point for travels in Thailand. It's a big place and busy but the space absorbs everyone. The place is very clean, rooms are basic but fine, especially bathrooms. The air con works, as does wifi and there's a great travel...

We stay in this hotel for 4 nights. What ever located in city centre with budget price and not include breakfast but you can find breakfast easy in Khaosan road. The staff very nice and food in the restaurant also good. If you order Tom yum better order in the morning than in the dinner time because in the morning...

The first place we ever stayed in Bangkok, the first place we stayed on our travels in fact. I have wrote this after a month in order to give it a more fair review after having many places to compare it to. It's not the worst but also not the best. You do get what you pay for however and...

I stayed at New Joe abt. 6 years ago and it was fine. The sad thing is, that obviously the same matresses are used. Our matress was soft like a sponge and you could feel all the springs inside. Terrible! Nighttime it was noisy untill 2 am. The noise came from Khao San, as a Pub was playing unbelievable loude...

Just left this hostel 2 nights ago after a 2 night/3 day stay and it was great... If you're a budget traveller. Wouldn't recommend this to anyone thats looking for anything fancy. The hostel is located down a quite side street just a close 2 block walk from bustling Khao San Road but far enough that you weren't kept awake...

Staying in Banglamphu

Neighbourhood Profile
Banglamphu
While you’ll see skyscrapers in most parts of Bangkok, it’s the gilded roofs of ancient pagodas that adorn the skyline of Banglamphu, the city’s historical and most touristic district. Hordes of tourists flock to this area to tick quite a few must-see attractions off their to-do list, with the Grand Palace being the most spectacular of them all. Banglamphu is also home to Bangkok’s infamous tourist ghetto, centered around Khao San Road. Visit at night to feast on road-side pad thai, cheap beers and if you’re up for it, some dancing fueled by buckets of Thai whiskey.
