Location is convenient. Staff could be more friendly. Room was pretty small, but reasonably clean. Bathroom was functional. Pool area was pretty outdated. Overall a decent place to crash for a night or two if you are on a budget. But you need to have reasonable expectations going in. If you want luxury then triple your budget.

Was sorry to hear my room was on the third floor and bathrooms on the second. Rooms are really small which was okay for me. The bed is comfortable enough but not great. One problem is that the doors can't be shut quietly. I was woken by people coming in at night. I went to the bathroom at night trying...

Stayed there a few times when in Bangkok. Always a great experience. Great location. Close to Khaosan road but not any of the loud and craziness. Staff is friendly and drinks and food are good. Rooms are basic and clean. Nothing special. The only bad thing is no elevators if you get a room on the higher floor.

Best thing about this place is the 24 hour check in. Staff where fine but didn't offer that extra touch that you get in a lot of hostel or resorts, but OK, there is AC which is OK and your own private bathroom room which is probably the best part of the villa

Staff were not the friendliest. Make sure to check ur room before u pay as for 150baht extra we upgraded and got much bigger room. Nice tho wud stay here again. did not try the pool but we see where it is and right alongside like over fence there is a rundown kinda shanty house so that put us off...

We stayed in a double with AC and shared bathroom. Well overpriced simply because I think it's in the lonely planet book. Lobby beers/food mega over priced you can get quarter of the price meals and beers and much better at the market 5 mins around the corner. Room was clean. Toilets clean also. Small room like prison cell! Plus...

Pad Thai was missing most of the ingredients, as was our order. We ordered 3 drinks and two dishes and got 2 drinks and 1 dish. The service was unfriendly and unenthusiastic. Don't bother coming here. Expensive for less than average food.

Great location close to where we usually stay (khao san road area), and a little more up market for the backpacker area with small pool out the back. In my view the hotel and their menu is overpriced, as you can easily get the same for less elsewhere. The bathrooms are accessible via the balcony which is just odd and...

Upon arrival we were upgraded to a Suite! Great we thought but it was on the 5th floor - no lift and we had to carry our luggage up 5 flights without even an offer of assistance. The room was fairly basic. Only one side with a bedside table and a sheer lack of plugs - only one in the...

Booked a double room. It was a big room with a good double bed (not very hard). Nice detail of towels on the bed. The room had a little balcony and the toilet and shower was outside. Clean and comfortable. The place has a swimming pool too.The only inconvenient is that they don't offer breakfast option although there is a...

Staying in Banglamphu

Neighbourhood Profile
Banglamphu
While you’ll see skyscrapers in most parts of Bangkok, it’s the gilded roofs of ancient pagodas that adorn the skyline of Banglamphu, the city’s historical and most touristic district. Hordes of tourists flock to this area to tick quite a few must-see attractions off their to-do list, with the Grand Palace being the most spectacular of them all. Banglamphu is also home to Bangkok’s infamous tourist ghetto, centered around Khao San Road. Visit at night to feast on road-side pad thai, cheap beers and if you’re up for it, some dancing fueled by buckets of Thai whiskey.
