This hotel looks nothing from the outside - but within - wow! I loved the old chinese interior, the colours and the cosiness. The service was very good and the breakfast was more than okay! The hotel is build only a few steps away from the bustling Yaowarat road, the heart of China Town in Bangkok, close to restaurants and...

Rooms clean, and rest of hotel was clean and well laid out. In a great location if you wanted to be in Chinatown. Good street food all around the hotel. Staff was good at responding to requests like extra pillows as the two provided are kind of thin. No hello or goodbyes when coming and going and i wouldn't say...

The hotel is quite stunning... the decor beautiful! The staff very friendly on the first day, but as I extended my staying, the staff became very unfriendly and I can say unprofessional and very deceiving. I love the place but the way I was treated I will never stay there again!

Bangkok itself was dirty, smelly, and polluted. I would suggest going only to see the temples then get out. The tuktuk drivers are out to scam you, but if you learn a few Thai words it takes you a long way, and this hotel gives you a little card to teach you some of the basics, very helpful! Staff was...

We were there for a night in a Superior double beds room on the 4th floor. Front office staff is decent, though they told me about breakfast and massages, no one offered to explain how to take advantage of the other available perks that come with the advertised emperor package that I booked. While the room is nicely decorated (chiq...

Always enjoy this hotel. The staff are great and welcoming and the rooms are decorated to make you feel that you are really someplace historic and not you everyday cookie cutter room. Breakfast is great with beautiful and well air conditioned picturesque room. The larger rooms face the atrium and have wooden chairs to relax and even stools for your...

Great place in middle of China town. Classy and hip. Really is like going to Shanghai in the 30's but all good. Open air jazz bar on the street is great but so to is the breakfast area on 3rd floor. Good breakfast and a classy room. The rooms are a little strange but it all works and they have...

Stayed here 6 times now, always a beautiful and elegant and relaxing place to stay with a good location in busy Chinatown but easy to reach tourist spots by MRT or by boat both only 10mins walk away. Rooms on second floor are stunning and have shower bathtub and king-size bed. Staff are always friendly and smiling and are warm...

The room was clean and the location is great (it's in the middle of Chinatown with a lot of dining options nearby). The only negative is that the people at the reception could be friendlier. Seemed like we were bothering them when requesting something. Otherwise we enjoyed our stay at the hotel.

Dear Ati055, Thank you for your feedback about our reception desk. Our front desk staff are among the very first of our staff to greet you and are your guest service liaisons during your stay - as such, it is a priority for me that they are friendly, efficient and exceed expectations. We will be retraining our staff and making...

Staying in Chinatown / Yaowarat

Neighbourhood Profile
Chinatown / Yaowarat
Better known as 'Yaowarat' among locals, Chinatown is Bangkok's bustling district that never sleeps. During the day, the main street and its small alleyways are filled with a vibrant mix of colours, scents and flavours coming from the roadside restaurants and all-day markets. The real action, however, happens after sunset. Surrounded by neon lights, Thais and tourists alike flock here around dinnertime to feast on some of the best street food in town. Escape the chaos by venturing a little further from the main road and discover hidden shrines, friendly locals and daily life in its purest form.
