The location is great. A few minutes away from vibrant Khao San road, but far enough away to be quiet at night
At times it can be a long line at the reception. There is not enough staff, a problem you don´t see very often...More
This is a very nice hotel located in the Khao San road area but in the quieter part. The room was comfortable and spacious and the hotel is nice with good service and a nice swimming pool on the roof. The only problem in my...More
This is the perfect location for those wanting to stay near Khao San Road. Rambuttri is the next street over from Khao San and is packed with restaurants and shopping but a little less hectic. You can walk to Khao San in less then 5...More
I had stayed in this hotel for 3 nights.
It has an excellent location with all the food courts around. U can experience Thai Massage, Fish Spa at a very reasonable price. The hotel has a very clean roof top pool. Lots of travel agents...More
Ok, it is a cheap hotel (even though it's not the cheapest) but this doesn't mean being rude is accettable. The staff was not very friendly, the room was quite old and extremely noisy. The noise didn't come from the street (the hotel is in...More

While you’ll see skyscrapers in most parts of Bangkok, it’s the gilded roofs of ancient pagodas that adorn the skyline of Banglamphu, the city’s historical and most touristic district. Hordes of tourists flock to this area to tick quite a few must-see attractions off their to-do list, with the Grand Palace being the most spectacular of them all. Banglamphu is also home to Bangkok’s infamous tourist ghetto, centered around
Khao San Road. Visit at night to feast on road-side pad thai, cheap beers and if you’re up for it, some dancing fueled by buckets of Thai whiskey.

as the others has said. taxi from the airport should only be about 450 baht. or, if you want you can get the train most of the way and then a taxi. one you've been there a while you'll find there's a little gang of tuk-tuk/taxis at the main road. you'll have said no thanks about 30 times in the first hour or so. but if you know you'll be using them. chat a little "not yet thanks just going here/there" when they get to know you they'll be really honest about the deal with the tailors/shops etc. and you can have some better days out by being strait with them. ie. they might have a card saying see the ******* 50baht. that'll be half an hour in a taylor and the trip. the taylor will pay the driver 50/100 baht to get you to the shop. and if you buy a suit even better. (they can be good value, by the way). don't forget to be nice, they're just trying to get on. enjoy
