This hotel thinks of everything! From the cute interior of the bathroom to the rooftop cocktail drinks to the diversity on the breakfast menu to the gift shop. It really has it all. Rather easy to find. It's spacious, colorful, and has an attention to detail at an affordable price that is hard to find. The older lady who does... More

Great boutique hotel in interesting location away from the hustle of Sukhumvit! Well furnished rooms with curiosities all around the hotel. Excellent and kind staff. Great breakfast. If you want a hotel that's quiet, quaint and interesting instead of a tower block with shiny glass, this is for you.

This is the fourth time I have stayed at this hotel. The standards are still as high as ever. The staff are genuinely friendly and helpful. The breakfast spread is great (they bake their own bread on site). There is a really good restaurant on site. The rooms are beautifully detailed and unique and great to come back to after... More

We really appreciated staying at this hotel, loved the vintage atmosphere uniqueness of each room. The decoration is full of details that will get your attention. Breakfast is included and is great, there are dishes/fruits/juices that change every day and made on order. Make sure to check the boutique since the products they made are quality hand-made.

Staying in this hotel was a delight, through and through, and I can't recommend it highly enough. It's beautiful, that's the first thing. Without getting too sickly, you can feel the love that's been poured into every aspect of the decor: every room is different, and every room I saw (four, in total) is gorgeous. There's nothing generic or chain-hotel... More

This was our 5th stay at Phranakorn-Nornlen and it is still a favorite! The rooms are really beautifully decorated and the breakfast was outstanding with both western dishes as scrambled eggs and bread, and Thai dishes such as roti with pineapple curry and fresh spring rolls. One minor complaint would be that they have closed their 'café' from 4pm, so... More

Hotel is well-situated close to the royal palace's neighbourrod in the authenticThewet's area. Rooms are clean and pretty decorated. Staff is kind and really helpfull. We liked especially the homemade breakfast as well as the rooftop restaurant.

The first thing to make you smile as you arrive is a welcome board as soon as you walk in. Then you're handed a welcome drink and asked to sit in the very relaxed lobby while your bags are taken to the room. The look of the hotel is eclectic and quirky and it really works. The staff were fantastic,... More

Staying in Banglamphu

Neighbourhood Profile
Banglamphu
While you’ll see skyscrapers in most parts of Bangkok, it’s the gilded roofs of ancient pagodas that adorn the skyline of Banglamphu, the city’s historical and most touristic district. Hordes of tourists flock to this area to tick quite a few must-see attractions off their to-do list, with the Grand Palace being the most spectacular of them all. Banglamphu is also home to Bangkok’s infamous tourist ghetto, centered around Khao San Road. Visit at night to feast on road-side pad thai, cheap beers and if you’re up for it, some dancing fueled by buckets of Thai whiskey.
