The hotel is a decent hotel with basic room amenities such as air-con, TV, hot water and complimentary dental kits & toiletries. Rooms were generally quiet and the housekeeping was done daily. The hotel has a cafe and serves buffet breakfast & a-la-carte lunch & dinner. Mostly Thai dishes with some Western items such as club sandwiches. Prices at the...

the hotel is next to Vimanmek Palace and not far from Dusit Zoo. The room rate is less than 1,000 baht including breakfast and wifi available. There's a restuarant located on the first floor. The hotel is run by Suan Dusit University where Home Bakery is famous. You can walk to the bakery shop and visit its Arts and Culture...

This is a simple, non-renovated hotel run by the local teachers training college. It is cheap alright (€ 25 with breakfast for a single), but I rather pay more and get more. I stayed two nights because of a conference; it was not my choice, nor would it be. Cons: - location far from anything; taking a bus is tricky...

Stay: please read earlier good comments. Spa: I had a session or 2 hours of Thai massage. The common room is clean with relatively privacy. It ia air with music. It cost only 400Baht - cheaper than any other massage outlet in a hotel or shopping mall. You must try it yourself the next time you stay there.

The place is close to old palace area. If you need travel around this area, this will be a choice to you. The room is very simple and nothing much in the room. It's a bit out of date, but as their price is pretty cheap even in bangkok, there is not much to ask for. Breakfast is okay, but...

The three C's are all you need! Well, not all. This place was great! It was my first time traveling internationally outside the states. This was back in 2011 so bare with me that I don't have much memory except that service was great and that we came and went from this place for days. Most importantly - it was...

Beautifully clean, rooms in modern building in quiet part of Bangkok close to Dusit Zoo and easy access to Banglamphu. Excellent bakery just behind hotel - sounds great! It also used to be very cheap but, has recent had a price increase of 40% from 700 ThB - 1000 ThB. Still not expensive but, no longer a bargain. Now the...

I stayed here a few times. The staff are very nice and the breakfast is good. I liked it because it was in a quiet part of town and pretty much far away from the backpacking area. If you want to have a clean place for a decent budget than this is the place for you. Better for students, low-key...

I stayed here two times when visiting Bangkok, both of which were enjoyable. The staff are immaculately dressed, very pleasant, and courteous. The rooms are of a decent size, do appear quite basic, with the bathroom looking slightly worn. However, for the money, this was no problem. An extensive room service menu is available. Very pleasant stay, and will definitely...

perhaps it was a really bad week for them, but the rooms were not ready, the shower didn't work, there was no hot water, only one light was working.... Arrrrrgh! They took messages at the desk but didn't have the person's name/ number/ or any useful detail! It was really unprofessional. The only positive was that the staff were always...

Staying in Dusit

Neighbourhood Profile
Dusit
When wandering around the Dusit Palace grounds, you'd almost forget you're still in a Southeast-Asian city. The Renaissance-style buildings and leafy gardens wouldn't be out of place in an European capital, and the serenity here is in stark contrast with the chaotic city life outside of its complex walls. Dusit is one of Bangkok's oldest districts, and while the rest of Bangkok is modernising at a rapid pace, Dusit seems to have stood the test of time. Come here to find family businesses in traditional shophouses, small-scale local markets and streets unfazed by modern city life.
