Well where do I start? My friends and I had 48 hours in Bangkok and Yuki and the Siamotiff team help to make it the best experience we could ask for. We were after something different, unique, boutique with character and charm and that’s what we got plus 10 Star service! The hotel itself is beautifully and creatively designed giving it a real authentic Bangkok stay, while never compromising on cleanliness. The service was the most exceptional, with amazing breakfast cooked each morning. Any help we needed the Siamotiff team were willing to help. From messaging thru to having aircon turned on when u arrived back, to help with transfers and directions! We loved our stay!

Will I be there again? NO. It is an inhabited traditional Thai wood house, only a bed (plus Thai breakfast). Clean (not so for the area … and you see it from your windows). You must walk about 100 metres through a narrow dark path (1 metres wide) located in an isolated area. Shoes must be left at the entrance, managing then to survive to the slipery and very steep stairs. My single “room” walls literally touched the "bed" (a mattress on the floor) on 3 sides, the feet side is left to toilet (separated by a curtain …..); no hot water in the sink. The walls are made of wood boards full of slots, so you will be aware of everything that happens in and outside the house. At dawn a zoo of birds, cats, roosters, dogs will welcome the day with you; then, the noise from the river and roads nearby will invade your room with the smell of breakfast. A/C is on top of the bed so cold air hits you. Wifi works fine, but there is no desk (if you open your suitcase you occupy all space). Lights are so dim that I needed my handphone light to unpack (window have no glasses nor nets), shaving-in-the-dark is quite an exercise. In the nice open area, mosquito repellent is a must. People giving 4-5 stars are probably all Indian Jones’ fans. I paid 75 EUR per day, on check out (no receipt) I was informed that they have (slightly) bigger rooms for a 50% surcharge, the price of a downtown international hotel. Fits in History Channel, but cannot be a hotel.

A hidden gem in Bangkok!! Just a $2/20 min grab ride from the heart of Bangkok, this hotel was the epitome of charm. The host was extremely accommodating in every way. She made us a delicious breakfast every day, consisting of tea and coffee with biscuits, toast with homemade jam, homemade yogurt with homemade jam, fresh fruit, and then a special Thai dish of the day! Some of our favorites included homemade green curry and tofu omelette. These were some of the best food we had in the entire city. The room was exceptionally clean and abundantly spacious for us two. Our host helped us get directions to places and gave us many key local insights. Don’t come here if you’re looking for a fancy 5-star hotel. Do come here if you’re looking for a clean, beautiful hotel and a once-in-a-lifetime opportunity to be immersed in Thai culture.

I visited the hotel for 4 nights alone in mid July - and had a fabulous stay. The room (New Charcoal) was really spacious, with an area to sit/lie and sleep, and was so stylishly done. It faces the river which is great. All the staff are lovely and helpful, the breakfasts are terrific - and the hotel just has a great, calm spirit. I loved being on the river in a part of Bangkok I hadn't visited before. Whilst it's out of the centre, which may be problematic for some, it's five mins walk to the BTS. And honestly, traffic is so bad in Bangkok, it's so much better for me to use the metro and skytrain. I loved the area too - really local, and authentic. A hit with me!

This was the second of two hotels we stayed in during our visit to Bangkok. The staff were so friendly and helpful. It is a well-hidden place, although they sent great directions on how to find it, including pictures. You have to walk a short distance through a cool little alley next to the canal. The Siamotif is a little bit out of the way from central Bangkok, although you are just a short walk from the train, so getting into town is not hard, Also, taxi service is fine, and we thoroughly enjoyed the location overlooking the canal, Very relaxing. Rooms were clean and simple.

Bangkok is a notoriously large, noisy and congested city that can be overwhelming for travelers. So when researching lodging, I looked for a place that would provide some respite from the hustle and bustle. I definitely found it in the five nights we stayed here. Room: we stayed in the Celadon Room. It was lovely, though a bit smaller than I expected based on the pictures. We made ample use of our deck overlooking the canal, but be aware that it requires climbing up a ladder. The decor was very attractive and the shower more than adequate. WiFi and electrical outlets were freely available and worked well. Location: let me put to rest any fears about being outside of the city center. The MRT (which we didn't use) is nearby, as are the sang taews (shared taxis; 12 cents American per person). Best of all, Grab works beautifully here, and we could go anywhere in the city for a few dollars. We loved staying on the canal, and while the canal boats were noisy and started early we weren't bothered by them at all. There are no upscale restaurants nearby, but several food stalls and hole in the wall restaurants are with very easy walking distance. Food: this was an unexpected highlight. The traditional Thai breakfast was delicious and a bit different every day. We also ate dinner here twice and were very happy. Staff: another highlight. Jackie, the manager, cook and general factotum deserves special mention, but every interaction we had with staff was delightful. Overall, I highly recommend staying here.

From the first contact with Maii at Siamotif I knew that we would feel right at home here. We haven't been to Thailand like most since 2019 and the welcome we received from Maii and the rest of the staff was the warmest we could have expected. The pictures don't do the hotel and experience justice, true Thai hospitality in a true Thai surroundings. The rooms are all individually decorated, we stayed in Celadon room on the first floor with a balcony overlooking the canal. It is smaller than most rooms in Bangkok, but everything you will need is there, it's clean and tidy and generally who goes on holiday to sit in the room all day? The breakfasts were delicious, I particularly enjoyed the different variations we had each day and experiencing new flavours. The location on the west side of the Chao Phraya river was a lovely change from the more touristy east side, the MRT is a short walk away, the river taxi's just a bit further but plenty of taxi's available and Maii will be more than happy to assist you should you require a taxi calling. Overall we had a beautiful, wonderful stay at Siamotif and will definitely be back and recommending to others. Thank you Maii and all your wonderful staff you truly are a hidden gem and the true meaning of Thai hospitality.

I love Bangkok and when I visit, I like to move around a little, and stay in a few different parts of town and in different hotels. In this trip I wanted to stay in a more traditional facility for a few days, and this hotel was perfect. I was really lucky because this hotel is typically fully booked, and I found a room for two nights in the high season. The hotel isn't too far from some of the sites, but that's not really why you stay here. Its really more the experience of staying in a more traditional building with an incredibly friendly staff catering to you. It has the perfect mix of traditional (the bedroom) and modern (the bathroom) to make the experience enjoyable. The room was really really small - I didn't spend more time in it than necessary to sleep. I would then go to the common area and mingle with other guests, all of whom have interesting stories to tell. Oddly, almost all the guests I met were Americans, but that might have been a coincidence. The notable thing is the overwhelmingly positive care I was given by the staff. They cooked food to my taste (spicy!!) and did everything they could to make sure i was comfortable. I don't always like to be doted on, but it was nice for a few days. If there's a downside, its on a canal and boats that come by make a TON of noise - enough to stop a conversation until they pass. Otherwise, the canal setting is very nice.

We loved loved loved this hotel! The people were unbelievably nice and welcoming. Offering to call us taxis, staying awake to accommodate our late arrival, and always making sure we had everything we need. We stayed in the golden crane room, it was quaint and perfect for everything a couple needs. The food was authentic and SO GOOD. After a long day in a loud bustling city we came to the quiet relaxing sanctuary. we will be staying again when we come back to Bangkok.
