In the photos of the restaurant and menu, you see awesome and big plates, but when the dishes arrived was the worst, not only in taste, in the size too. I was so disappointed when I left the place. Bad.

Like most of the Khao San road area, this restaurant relies on passing trade and therefore doesn't seem to care about how miserable and disinterested their staff are. Prices are okay to be fair which draws you in. If you don't mind being served by a chap who's personality is not far off a vegetables then go ahead. Good value...

I have stayed here twice and I find this hotel ok. The rooms are a good size with a nice bathroom. The beds are rock hard and the tv in the room only has Thai channels but it was all good enough for me. The rooms are extremely noisey, you can hear all the loud music from outside. If you...

Location very good - right next to Khao San Road. The bedroom was fine - quite clean, sheets OK, bed - very hard. On the other hand bathroom was smelly, full of hairs, overall very dirty. It was not possible to have any sleep because of super loud music downstairs till 1 AM. Although we had confirmed reservation just 3 days...

Well .... reading the reviews I have to admit I was not really looking forward to stay in this hotel but my partner already used this hotel on previous travels so I gave in. I have to say - it was ok. What do you expect for this price at this road? The rooms - yes, they are small ......

good place for the price 450 for a double room with AC,cold shower,no TV.For 550 you have the breakfast included (eggs, bacon and coffee) Just very noisy until late 2-3 am...so if you want to have fun it is good.If you want to relax and have a quiet night it is not.

Very basic hotel 600 baht for a tiny room with no fridge, air con that bearly work, tin foil on window instead of curtains and a shower that feels like a fat kid dribbling over cake. The room was also filthy like it had not been cleaned in months with ants and cockroaches running around like they have rented the...

Pricey for the room you get but that's expected being the street over from Khao San Road. Just a basic room, hard bed. The wifi was brilliant and like I said the hotel is in a good location for Khao San. I've stayed here about 3 times now no real complaints.

I attended for lunch with my girlfriend in Feb 2016. We sat down and ordered two starters and two mains. We had some spring rolls and chicken on a stick (not sure of the dish name but that is essentially what it was). These were decent. Then the pad thai came out, with a massive king prawn next to it,...

I chose this hotel because of my friend's recomendation (550B with AC), but the price for double room with twin bed, AC, TV and hot water costs 620 B. It gets cheaper if you don't need those things :-) The worst is the noise!!! It comes from outside but people are playing loud music inside too, they run and smoke...

Staying in Banglamphu

Neighbourhood Profile
Banglamphu
While you’ll see skyscrapers in most parts of Bangkok, it’s the gilded roofs of ancient pagodas that adorn the skyline of Banglamphu, the city’s historical and most touristic district. Hordes of tourists flock to this area to tick quite a few must-see attractions off their to-do list, with the Grand Palace being the most spectacular of them all. Banglamphu is also home to Bangkok’s infamous tourist ghetto, centered around Khao San Road. Visit at night to feast on road-side pad thai, cheap beers and if you’re up for it, some dancing fueled by buckets of Thai whiskey.
