I went several times to this old fashion hotel in sukhumvit area. I love old style hotel because i think this hotels have their own soul inside and in their room there is a part of thousands of guests. Cofee shop is 24 hrs open and that's is great thai and western food is delecious. Ppl s old but with...

I stayed at the hotel a couple of times. It was a blast from the past. And it had a car park and a swimming pool. Alas it was demolished a year ago so no longer an option. So if you are looking for this sort of retro hotel you will find one less to choose from in Bangkok.

I stumbled upon this years ago. It is still best value for money in town. It is the last of the of its kind . The location is a bonus especially after a night of partying. The front desk staff are interesting, if you bother to take the time to talk with them. The staff as a whole are lovely,...

The hotel is just enough if you will stay for a day or two. I went in Bangkok last April 10 for 3 days and since it's my first time to travel there I don't have any idea which place is better to stay. I saw this Rex Hotel (old but look better than the first choice i had) I...

This vintage Bangkok Hotel is great if you like character. In the same style as the now demolished Golden Palace Hotel. Staff are great if you smile and treat them with respect. Beds very comfortable. Everything in working condition. Room service food good, though I would give breakfast a miss if staying again. Swimming pool great to cool off. Close...

The hotel is anything but modern and is to say the least run down but at a tad over 1,000 Baht a night can't really grumble. The rooms are quite large but a bit on the dingy side, very basic but do have a large fridge, All electrical sockets are 2 pin with no ground and are so worn that...

Yes, this hotel is very old fashioned but its good value considering the price you pay. I have stayed here on a number of occasions because the location on Sukhumvit road is very good. The rooms are old but the beds are large and comfortable and its easy to get a good night's sleep. I found the staff to be...

It was clean, run down, but functioning (except for the for the left hand elevator which we briefly got stuck in). Quiet, rooms are not on the road. Coffee shop next door is the restaurant, never ate there, just had a beer or two. Nice enough, Formica counters, etc. Our room was 1200 B/night. Swam in pool, something wrong with...

If this is the very last place to stay in Bangkok, okay, it's a bed. But be warned. During my stay the toilet unexpectedly started shooting up water in the night. The electric sockets sparked several times - and I mean shooting fire - from the TV. And I felt something bit me more then once in the bed. The...
