We can't say enough good things about our stay at Vanilla Place. Though the rooms and facilities are somewhat basic, it's the customer service that really puts this place over the top. Bea was incredibly helpful whenever we asked for advice - both before and during our trip. She's very responsive via email, and even when we would show up...

Wonderful, simple spot to stay to really take advantage of all Chiang Mai has to offer. Hospitality is amazing! The team helped us find good food, called our cooking class to make sure they were still coming when they were a little late, and arranged a super early cab back to the airport plus packed us sandwiches and waters for...

We booked this place as we wanted to be close to Nawarat Bridge and Iron Bridge for Yi Peng and the floating lanterns launch points. The location couldn't have been better for this. The owners and hosts were very kind. We didn't really care for the room. It didn't have a window (which we knew upon booking and is fine)...

For a first stay in SE Asia, I wasn't sure what to expect re: quality standards, but vanilla place was a quiet, unassuming gem around the corner from the ping river. While the accommodations themselves were modest, the manager, Bee, was super sweet and did her best to make sure our stay was comfortable. Our first room smelled strange, so...

Super clean hotel, easy walk to night market, old city. Manager Bee goes out of her way to be helpfull. So nice to find a great alternative to expensive big hotels. They really pay attention to the little things that make your stay pleasant.

My wife and I both were happy with our stay at Vanilla Place. If you are looking for a fancy hotel, then this place is not for you. If you want a lower cost hotel which is clean and a good location, then you should check it out. The staff was great and very helpful, and they really cared about...

The room was a great value for the price! Our AC unit was very strong & the morning breakfasts (though nothing to write home about) were good. We had an issue with our shower heater but the staff were very courteous and efficient when it came to fixing it. They were very friendly. The location is very close to the...

My husband and I stayed here on a week long trip to Thailand. Originally, when we booked online, the only standard room available did not have a window. Upon arrival, we asked if a different room was available and were given one with a window and balcony (for a slightly higher price, but definitely worth it!) The owner, Bee, was...

After the overnight train from Bangkok I received a warm welcome, friendly helpful advice. As a solo first time backpacker I was grateful, but this soon paled into insignificance when I was showed to my room. I did not know that the 'standard' room does not have a window. I would never chosen Vanilla Place if I had known. There...

We stayed here for 4 nights and it was absolutely fantastic. When they say guest house the owners take it very seriously. From the moment we entered it did not feel like we were staying in a hotel, it felt like we were staying with family. The rooms were amazing, clean and spacious. The breakfast was a large buffet style...
