The hotel location was fairly and not well recommended. You would have a better option nearby nimman area rather than this hotel where you have to walk 5 to 10 minutes arriving one nimman and Maya mall. Besides, the hotel does not provide neither water refilling station nor bottled mineral water for guests. Thirdly, the morning breakfast was acceptable for simple selection. Lastly, the room was ok. No any comments. WIFI in room was strong connection. Air con well functioning.

No drinks, no food, no refreshments after 2 PM. Must walk 12 min. for shop. The rudest reception manager ever met. But the mini pool was nice. Howecer, a major construction will commence soon. Heavy noise expected.....

Heavily overpriced The reception manager demanded 400 B. extra for our deluxe room, although the deluxe room was already paid for via Agoda. She then explained that our room was 24 sqm, which would be much larger than the Agoda room. When we checked with our booking, the room size was indicated as 28 sqm. She then said that we are in a corner room, and that the corner room would have a splendid view. Well folks, I took a picture of that superb view, which is basically a construction site!! Another hotel will be constructed right next to the mini pool, so that a max. noise pollution is to be expected soon. Taking the dishonest room recommendation and the ugly view into account, the place is overpriced.

DO NOT BOOK HERE! WORST EXPERIENCE EVER! I'm vaccinated 3 times and showed certifications, completed Sandbox but they say they can refuse people if they don't provide certification. This is not fair so I asked to pay at check out as I guaranteed payment with my debit card on Booking.com, but the staff said I have to pay in advance regardless. Booking.com took my side but they even refused to find a solution with them. They don't respect booking.com policy and do whatever they like. The website should ban this hotel. Because I discussed about this the manager let me wait for 2h, while staff was laughing at me and getting eaten by huge mosquitos, invited me to his office and refused me without letting me speak, shouted at me for about 10min non stop while I kept my cool. Probably couldn't do it in the hotel hall, that's why he wanted to speak in his office instead with doors closed. I felt unsafe that he could attack me without having anybody as witness. So I've been without options with no notice and wasted 1 day of my holidays. Also people don't wear mask there and it's SHA?? Probably because of corruption. They can't even speak English. Horrible experience and I was regular customer for 4 years but now they changed the whole staff. I regret big time that I gave them my money every year. They should refund me for the inconvenience. They deserve to close down! Scammers left me alone in Thailand with no accommodation! Criminals and very racist! Worst hotel experience ever. Luckily I found a much better hotel with only 5 euros extra in a better position without booking in advance. For security reasons I don't write the name of this hotel but trust me they do not deserve 1cent. Notice also the weird automated answer they gave to this review by thanking me for the good feedback and wishing to see me again. Even the automated message has grammar mistakes 😂😂😂 creeps…

Sakulchai Place is on a small quiet street but walking distance to Maya Mall and nimmanhaemin road. The room was clean, with 2 bottles of complimentary water restocked daily, mini fridge, kettle. Our room also had a table for dining, and good dresser space for storage. There is an elevator which made it easy to carry bags to our rooms. The kitchen appeared to be open all meals of the day, and the food was good and service was always very friendly! Breakfast entailed choosing one main + the rest of the appetizers and beverages were buffet style. The pool is quite cold but the pool area has a great environment for lounging and relaxing. The gym is very basic so we opted to use the nearby Gold Hillside gym about a 5min walk away. There is a key deposit which was returned to us without any issues upon check out. The front desk also allowed us to store our bags with them for a few hours after check out while we took a walk around. Great value for a clean comfortable stay in a location that has easy access to the area - would stay again. …

The staff are very friendly and helpful. We booked several rooms for a planned family reunion. A fifty percent deposit was required and paid. My mother-in-law, for whom the reunion chiefly was to honor, suddenly passed away which caused a cancellation of the planned event. We informed the management who in turn informed the hotel's owners who agreed to refund 70% of the deposit due to credit card fees if we provided proof of her passing. We accepted this and provided the requested documentation. When we met with the manager the following day, she informed us that the owners had changed their minds and would only refund 50 percent. Buyer beware!

Stayed here for 4 nights and hotel was clean with friendly staff. Good value for money and rooms were bright and cleaned well every day. The pool area is good but you may struggle to get a sun bed when busy. WiFi is not great throughout the hotel and there is mosquitos everywhere due to the open nature of it. A short walk from local amenities. Huge construction site next door and you cannot buy any alcohol in the hotel at all. Breakfast is ok but nothing to shout about.

Hotel itself was average. Service wasn’t great. We booked a non smoking room online (which we confirmed) and were told upon arrival at the desk that we did not, however they would do us a “favor” and upgrade us, even though it was what we booked in the first place. They also conveniently forgot to return our deposit at the end of our stay. We tried to contact them after about it, however did not receive any response. The pool was nice.

This is a nice hotel but there isn’t anything that particularly stands out or sets it apart. I’d say it’s pretty average, nice lobby and standard rooms, though fairly dusty - we weren’t sure whether the room we were in just hadn’t be used in a long time as it didn’t seem very busy. Because of this I think it did lack atmosphere generally, maybe if we had come at another time of year we’d be saying different. The pool turned brown during our stay too, but they were fixing that as we left, but unfortunately it meant we couldn’t use the pool. Breakfast is a good price and decent selection. Staff are as helpful as they can be, but it can be difficult to communicate in English sometimes. Finally, if you’re looking to stay in Chiang Mai I would recommend finding a hotel closer to the night bazaar and the main area as we had to get taxis into the centre. …

Sakulchai hotel The staff was very friendly and accommodating; they helped us book two excursions we really enjoyed! They spoke English well, and were able to help us with our scooter rental. The gentleman working in the restaurant was very sweet, and the service was fantastic! We would definitely recommend this hotel to friends
