A nice rustic back to the yester-year hotel. Every piece of the furniture and fittings was made to look like it was the 60s, even modern TVs was enclosed with wooden boxes to make it feel like it was an antique TV. The hotel staff were attentive and helpful. The hotel is located in a prominent area with many cafes,...

We had an enjoyable stay here. We were having family room which contain two smaller rooms inside, one common area and sadly only one restroom but it was fine if you're not in a rush hour. The hotel is located in a brilliant location, you don't have to worry about what to eat and of course getting around you can...

Yesterday is one of the nice hotel with delicious and plentiful breakfast. It is in the middle of night street NIMMANHEMIN. Many nice restaurants and drinks are found within 1 min walk from the hotel.

We stayed at the yesterday hotel for 2 nights. This was a great boutique hotel in chiang Mai. It is located on a main strip that has a lot places to eat and drink and street food. It is located a little west of the old city (20 min walk, 7 min taxi ride) so it's quieter than if you...

If you appreciate thoughtful design and retro decor, this is the place for you. I absolutely loved the carefully considered details that were put into the style of this place. Even the hallways contained interesting furniture and conversation pieces. The building is a former school house, and the wide hallways and rooms have an open, airy feel to them. This...

It's a nice rustic old colonial building but needs upgrading on it's facilities. On the first night we were given a room on the 2nd floor. The hot water in the shower was faulty - it goes from very cold to extremely hot and cold again. Water pressure is too small to get a decent shower. Next day we were...

Nice rooms with fun furnishings. Antique feel about the place. Fun antiques in the hallways. Room are off the street. But there was someone working on a pond at 4:30 am that woke us up.(hammering). The front desk is helpful.

Don't expect the usual features of a boutique hotel. It's lots of little things that make a hotel good; in this case lots of little things can also make a hotel bad. Very noisy, especially from 7-8.30am on Saturday and Sunday mornings. No insulation and big gaps under the doors which allow noise to enter the rooms. The 'superior' room...

We've booked the panthouse suite for 1 night. We didn't expected to get such a nice room but we are wrong. The panthouse that we got was nice but there is only one bathroom for 4 person, so you have to manage yourself and member well. Another thing that I didn't impress is no elevator and the panthouse is on...

tucked away from the busy street this is a great little find. Has a "Raffles" feel to it - an old world elegance, charm and character which is lovely. Spacious room with high ceilings feel private and peaceful. Really comfortable 4-poster bed - slept well, although we did note the high airplane traffic as raised by other reviewers. Breakfast was...

Official Description (provided by the hotel)
Like no others, Yesterday Hotel is, in many ways, represented the influential era of Thai identity during the mid 80s. The most impressive thing about the hotel might not be only its superb convenient location in the heart of the hip city centre area, Nimmanhaemin, where hundred of chic cafes and small shops are surrounded, but it would be also the sum of its elements and services that are inspired by Thai good old days. The building itself was long known as an international kindergarten and has been renovated into the 25-room boutique hotel since 2008. While the exterior is the mixtures of Thai and Colonial architecture, the interior are somewhat cultural unique. Hanging on the wall of each room, the pictures are the collection of the "Mana-Manee", 20 years ago Thai-primary school textbook and illustrates. The antique furnishings from decorative lamps to non-identical handicraft beds simply remind the visitors of such an era of Thai children culture and nationalism. However, the modern comfortable stay is not overlooked. All services such as free Wifi, electronic door lock, bicycle, safety box, hair dryer, complimentary herbal hot drinks, 24-hour front desk together with many of other amenities and services come as standard in the Deluxe room type and above. Despite the fact that Yesterday Hotel tries its best to provide the most convenient location and comfy stay; above all, for those visitors who are long wishing to wake up oneself childish soul, perhaps... this might be the place. ... more   less
