A unique small Thai country village style guesthouse with surrounding wooden villas, hammocks, country garden, outdoor lounges with lots of arts and wood carvings. Visitors should be aware that this is a very natural setting. There are many kinds of creatures in the gardens Some bathrooms are semi open air and mosquitos are omnipresent as in the most part of Chiang Mai. We use mosquito netting in bedrooms as well as using air-conditioning, fans and mosquito repellents and creams free of charge. Guests are advised to wear loose fitting clothing with long sleeves and leg coverings in the early mornings and early evenings or to use a good strength anti mosquito spray. Sunny daytimes are mostly mosquito free. Hard to believe but BaanBooLOo Village seems completely cut off from the noise of the city centre yet is only 15 minutes from Chiang Mai International Airport. It is without question the quietest location in all of central Chiang Mai. We are in the central historic Old City Inner Moat area just 5 minutes walk from the major landmark Wat Pra Singh temple known by all in Chiang Mai. We provide a comprehensive and hearty Thai and International breakfast from 7am until 10am. We do cater for early start breakfasts and special dietary needs. Guests are recommended to discuss any special needs upon check-in. We have a quiet policy after 10pm as these are wooden houses and respect for neighbours is paramount. We also have an outdoor late lounge area with music and drinks until around midnight which is separate from guest rooms to avoid sleep disturbance. There are late night bars, jazz club and eateries all within 20 minutes walk or a short tuk tuk ride for around 100 baht. Most venues are open until around 1am. A handful are open until the early hours. Our concierge service includes helping guests to plan activities/spas/trekking plus advice on events in and around the city. This service is impartial and is included in the room charge. We would never recommend tourist service companies with animal cruelty reputations. BaanBooLOo Village is a 'green' environmentally friendly organisation evolving gradually. Our long term goal is to create a green oasis in the form of a living museum in the historic old city walls.

BaanBooLoo Village is an absolute dream accommodation! It was by far one of our favorite places to stay ever. From the moment I communicated with Amp our host to the moment we left the we were so impressed with every single detail, gesture and overall ambiance. The place is just filled with art everywhere you look combined with a feeling of connection to nature and an authentic Thai village experience! This is a MUST stay place for anyone in Chiang mai. We are certainly coming back again!! anf recommending it to everyone I know!

I spent a week at Baanbooloo village with a group of friends. The service from check-in to check-out was top tier. Airport pickup was super helpful. The staff were extremely friendly and spoke English. Breakfast was delicious and changed daily. The rooms were spacious with comfortable beds. Air con worked great. The staff even helped us book excursions and gave great advice on things to do in Chiang Mai. The owners have taken great care to design the hotel to feel like a traditional Thai village which added to the ambiance and charm. It felt like we were staying with family instead of a hotel. I highly recommend everyone book here, you won’t be disappointed.

Room Tip: Bring mosquito repellent and sunscreen! Thailand is notorious for its heat and insects.

Baan Boo Loo looked amazing in the pictures but it was even more magical in real life! We booked the Rice Farmer house which is a two-storey villa... words can’t describe how amazing it is? It’s a feast for the eyes (and soul!). Much like the rest of the village, it’s a teak wood structure in a traditional Thai design. The interior is absolutely stunning, from the wood carvings, tiled elements and traditional upholstery. The bed was an impressive four poster with the most comfortable mattress and pillows. It has a tree house feel and you can very much hear the sounds of nature outside, including the rooster in the mornings (ear plugs advised if you are a light sleeper!). The village has a family feel with a ‘help yourself’ breakfast. Some things can be ordered, such as eggs but otherwise there’s traditional hot Thai dishes as well as toast/pastries, coffee machine and juice. It’s situated in the Old City and very accessible on foot or by tuk-tuk. We would absolutely recommend Baan Boo Loo for the most magical, jungle-inspired stay when in Chiang Mai. The only place problem is - you may never want to leave!

♥️RECOMMENDED🤩 If you are looking for a unique place of its kind, this should be your dream 🛌 This hotel is nestled in the heart of Chiang Rai between a compact vegetation of trees and flowers. 🌸 🌳 🌴 The silence surrounds the place and the cabanas in the trees. It’s just delicious to hear the bird and get away from the busy street with traffic. The room and bathroom are equipped with everything to make your stay comfortable 😍 The breakfast offers fruits, basic toasted bread 🍞, coffee and tea, and also 4-5 Thai dishes. Well enough to make your stomach happy 😊 We liked this place very much for its originality. Quietness and central location ♥️

We had a wonderful stay here. The Mango villa was perfect for a family of four. It was stunning- very thoughtfully and beautifully designed and decorated with a gorgeous bathroom and shower. The whole hotel was serene and felt like an oasis from the city. Very nice breakfast with delicious authentic Thai food and western options. Great service and attention to detail.

Baan Boo Loo is a lovely place to stay. It is on a quiet street and most of the noise was from the Monks chanting at a nearby Wat, and frogs croaking at night. The breakfast was amazing, curries, spring rolls, sticky mango rice. It was a little different every day and very good. The staff is very helpful and friendly, although after breakfast they were a little harder to round up. The room was spotless with a large bathroom and a kettleand coffee and tea and a refrigerator stocked with water daily. My outdoor area had a fan and the staff lit mosquito coils every night and that helpedkeep them away. They were not an issue in my room, but I think they are a common pest in Chiang Mai regardless of where you are staying. They arranged someone to pick me up at the airport and he also would drive guests around town. He is a very nice man who lives around the corner. There is also a very nice resident cat and a not so nice resident teenage cat:) I would recommend Baan Boo Loo to anyone wanting to stay in Old Town Chiang Mai.

We really enjoyed the atmosphere in the courtyard, the friendly welcome, and the breakfast was amazing! We also enjoyed a friendly cat hanging out in the entryway of our room. We would absolutely recommend a stay.

Staying in Baan Boo Loo is like entering another world. The owner, Abi, and his delightful sister, Jaeb, have created a place of peace and serenity in keeping with their holistic philosophies. As you go through the gate into the enchanted garden, you are graciously greeted by Jaeb and immediately you know you're somewhere very special. No detail has been overlooked to make your visit a magical experience. We stayed first in a ground floor suite and then extended our stay so we could have a few days in the amazing Rice Barn. Each place is unique, with gorgeous antiques, ornate wood carvings, sumptuous drapes, quality toiletries and thoughtful touches like mosquito repellent - the guest wants for nothing. A delicious breakfast is served in a dining area overlooked by a huge dragon, full of quirky up-cycled furniture, lovely ceramics, statues and carvings. A tiny kitten added to the charm! We were overwhelmed by the kindness and care shown to us. I could run out of superlatives trying to describe this wonderful place, so I will end by saying it's worth making a journey to Thailand just to come and see it for yourself.

From the moment we arrived we knew we were somewhere special (traveling with 3 kids aged 11-6). The location consist of several guest houses, each beautifully decorated with ornate features that gives you a true Thai feeling. Everywhere you look there is some unique detail in the design. Not plastic or metal to be found anywhere as everything is made of wood and natural materials. Truly amazing. Located in the old city it is well located to see temples as well in close proximity to the evening walking markets. Location is quiet and you feel like you have your own tree house. Breakfast each morning is freshly prepared and some of the best food I've had. The coffee was brilliant too! The cook is also responsible for much of hand crafted items you'll find around the property. Amazing talent. Adi, Jaep, Louis and the entire team made us feel at home and feel we forged proper relationships with them and were extremely happy to assist us with anything we needed (elephant tour, cooking classes, where to take kids on a rainy day etc). We really felt like we were staying with friends and we were genuinely sad to say good bye. I cannot recommend staying here enough - such an amazing experience for our children as well as us.
