Hotel's Favourite
Melia hotel is the best hotel that i stayed at in Thailand. The room i had was modern, clean and spacious. Staffs were friendly, helpful, professional and they always greet you with a smile.

But what i like the most in Melia Chiang mai is their lobby with amazing interior design. They used thai culture as their inspiration when they were designing arcs, walls, and planning their furnitures. Its like a museum in a way. The moment you stepped inside you will know that your in Thailand and not just another hotel you know.

Food was amazing. I've been to Thailand 3x and ill say they gave thai food a new twist, mixture of flavors with amazing presentation. The balance between crunch, sweet, spicy and such was really amazing. Next was the bar. I love rooftop bars but from what i researched Melia seems to be the only one with 360 bar. I didnt stayed much but it was beautiful and chill. I also wanna add the amazing show i watched next to Melia on the right side if you go out. I accidentally saw it and they had the best night themed show i saw in Thailand. And the last one was location wise. Its in an accessible area as well, in the city and also near the old one.

We as a group of 6 just spent 5 nights at the newly opened Melia Hotel in Chiang Mai.

The Hotel I think only opened in April 2022 so as you can expect is in new/great condition. 21 Floors (not all currently operating) including a beautiful outdoor pool and soon to be new gym facilities. There is a temporary gym set up with cardio machines however they an existing arrangement with another hotel to use their gym and provide a free shuttle.

The room is large and spacious, king size bed, plush linen and a large couch to rest on and look out the window taking in the sites of Chiang Mai. Plenty of complimentary water is provided with the room refreshed each day. Plenty of hot water for a great shower and fully stocked mini bar available to be purchased.

The buffet breakfast is available on the ground floor offering a good choice of Asian and western food including some great pastries for those with the sweat tooth. Also loads of choices for your morning coffee both hot and cold included in your breakfast offering. The team in the dining area were extremely hospitable and nothing was an effort for them making sure we had what was needed and enjoyed our breakfast.

Our package included access to the Level Lounge on the 21st floor. This included all day soft drinks, afternoon tea and cakes between 2-4pm and then drinks and canapes between 5.30-7.30pm daily. The options included spirits, cocktails, bubbles, soft drinks and other hot and cold refreshments. George and his team went above and beyond with their customer service and engagement with us as their guest ensuring we always had a drink in hand and tasted sufficient snack foods to accompany our beverages.

Finally the team in the lobby including Mick, Fluke (and one other young gentlemen who I apologise I cant recall his name) went above and beyond to ensure our stay was a great experience. From our morning greetings and welcome back to the hotel after being out for the day, to organising transport for us ensuring we obtained the best price, also providing the drivers with instructions as to where we wanted to go and what we wanted to do and also suggesting other options for sights and tours that we would enjoy. NEVER did they push us to take one of their options or push a particular transport mode or provider.

Our experience in this hotel was brilliant and yes it was a lovely hotel conveniently located near bazaar night markets, street food and other options but the team and their customer service made our stay memorable.

We will definitely return to enjoy the amazing environment the team create and utilise the finished hotel facilities.

New, clean, functional and tasteful - fantastic use of wood and modern materials to combine traditional and modern. Superb interiors, huge rooms, modern showers (with scale and nice huge towels). The best thing is that the room has two (very quiet) A/Cs, and so you can choose which to use - preventing having it blowing directly onto your head in the desk/sitting area (as is the case in 99% of hotels I have stayed in so far). Breakfast international, Thai plus more, and have a gluten-free choice of bread, and muffins. Nice swimming pool and meeting rooms. Staff friendly, curious, efficient. Value for money. I will be back.

Despite only staying here for two nights, it was long enough to determine the hotel and in particular the staff were of a high standard.

I booked a 'Level Premium Room' as a couple and on arrival, we were escorted to the Level Lounge for the check in formalities and then taken to our room.

The room itself was modern, light, spotlessly clean and very spacious with a high ceiling. There were no issues with noise internally or externally which enabled a good sleep.

The location is fine and a short walk through the car park takes you to the night bazaar with other sights - in particular the multitude of temples and Tha Phae Gate - are all within walking distance of the hotel.

The food and drinks offered in the Level Lounge in the evening were very good as was the breakfast which we took in the main restaurant at ground floor level.

All the staff we encountered were amazing - in particular Lalita who made the effort to engage with lounge guests and a big shout out to Fluke at concierge who sorted out a trip for us after being let down by a tour company for a trip we tried to arrange ourselves.

Incidentally, the the tour company the hotel utilises for their guests is excellent.

Due to our short stay, we were unable to use all of the facilities, however, we hope to return to Chiang Mai in the future and The Melia will be our first choice of accommodation.

This was a really good hotel with some very well trained staff. We did have some confusion over an extra bed that wasted a bit of my time but that wasn’t a big deal in the end.

The platinum corner room was really comfortable and two children can sleep on the sofa bed - but they will want to charge 1000 baht ++ for any more than one bed set (the confusion issue). I can’t fault the room to be fair.

The ceilings in the corridor are ridiculously low and it feels a little claustrophobic because of this. Anyone over 6 feet tall needs to watch out for the water outlets and cameras on the roof.

We didn’t have a breakfast inclusive rate so no idea what it’s like.

The hotel appears to specialise in the travelling coach tour party market. We weren’t inconvenienced by this but it definitely devalues a hotel when they take in large parties of package tourists.

The pool is really nice and well maintained and managed. One of the best.

The location is perfect. Out of the side door and turn left into the car park and in 50m you are in a mega night market. Music, food and a chance to browse - great fun.

Many laundries surround the hotel.

One complaint - we never got any creamer when the maid came (all 3 days). English breakfast tea was also not provided normally.

I’d definitely stay again at this one with the slight concern that the package tourists may be noisy.

Have used Melia a number of times and saw that they had opened a property in Chiang Mai. I arrived at the property mid afternoon and my room was not quite ready so we decided to try the Afternoon Tea. This was excellent quality, great selection of sandwiches and cakes.

My room was large and very well lit, heat king size bed with excellent quality bedding. The housekeeper was first class and the room was serviced every morning. The bathroom while compact was very well equipped with a good supply of hot water and lots of soft towels.

Breakfast was always very busy but the quality was excellent with a great selection of western and Asian foods

The one thing that stands out at the hotel is the staff, they were all so happy, smiling and offered excellent service, nothing was too much trouble.

I will definitely return on my next visit to Chiang Mai

The hotel in general is impressive, taking care of the smallest details. It has a beautiful rooftop with a good atmosphere and a nice pool. The Mai restaurant for both great food and service.

Hotel with very professional and friendly staff and with incredible facilities, I would repeat.

I will transfer my 3-day experience to you in case it is of interest to future guests (I already had a flight, but without hesitation I would have stayed something else both for the hotel and for Chiang Mai). Magnificent hotel Magnificent hotel:

When I arrived the staff on the first floor was very professional they just did a small check and they knew where I have to make the Check in and escorted me to the 21st floor, the private lounge .
The best place is in the Level Lounge, Bobby who did the check in is very nice and attentive, I see him nearly every evening at the Lounge, he take care every body and make sure everything is under control. Cannot stop mentioning Yok The Level agent the best service I ever had, she can speak Spanish like a native speaker she always have a friendly chat and very attentive person, she remembers what I usually likes to order and prepares me every morning the Ice Coffee with a very nice presentation before I go out around Chiang Mai, after the coffee she tells me places that is a must to go in Chiang Mai. Over all she made this hotel unforgettable, I hope others hotel Melia have the same service and can speack Spanish as her. I have been in lots of Melia hotels around the word and this hotel really impress me, the service and every thing more than I expected , the service of Yok is more than 5 star hotel. I really impressed with Yok.
In the front office Alejandrina she also can speak Spanish fluently, every day she saw me she greets in Spanish with a smilly gesture and it's makes me feel like I am in Spain.
Also the trainee that I saw in the swimming pool bar and in the rooftop bar, her name is Prim she is learning Spanish and she can talk with me in Spanish, thats makes me feel very good when somebody wants to learn the language, I think she is very good worker and hope someday she will be employee of the hotel.
I feel very comfortable in this hotel and I will definitely come back to the Level Lounge. Congratulations for all the employees that I mentioned.

I am a regular visitor to Chiangmai and thought I should try out this new hotel in town.
What a fabulous experience it was
The room is very spacious and the hotel is decorated in a modern style, with plenty of Thai touches. The lighting is good and the mirrors in the room are great if you love a mirror selfie as much as I do.

The club lounge, (known as the level) is one of the best I have experienced
I loved the cocktails of the day especially the Chao Phraya one made with local rum, very delicious, and so much fun to have it made in front of us in a fabulous copper coloured shaker.
The service in the club is excellent, the manager Taemasin is very charming and super helpful. He had so much passion for the hotel

My only regret is that I did not get to dine in the Mai restaurant. I had seen some beautiful pictures of the food on instagram, and after I talked to Taemasin, who told me that the food is so much more special then the photos can show, I know that I will definitely be back.

We stayed at the Melia for 2 nights during our recent trip . The hotel has been very well renovated ( some still ongoing ) and has a very bright modern feel to it . The swimming pool is a reasonable size and gets the sun for large parts of the day with large and comfortable loungers . They have a small gym with reasonable equipment including weights and cardio machines .
We stayed in a deluxe level room with club lounge access . The room was a very good size with luxury touches including a HD smart TV . The club lounge is excellent serving breakfast , afternoon tea and complimentary drinks from 17.30 to 19.30 . The drinks selection was as good as any lounges we have stayed and enhanced by the excellent service from the staff and the manager , George who was always on hand without being intrusive .
