Tripadvisor’s approach to reviews
Before posting, each Tripadvisor review goes through an automated tracking system, which collects information, answering the following questions: how, what, where and when. If the system detects something that potentially contradicts our community guidelines, the review is not published.
When the system detects a problem, a review may be automatically rejected, sent to the reviewer for validation, or manually reviewed by our team of content specialists, who work 24/7 to maintain the quality of the reviews on our site.
Our team checks each review posted on the site disputed by our community as not meeting our community guidelines.

The description of this hotel needs to be changed. It is not a green oasis at all. Also there is nobody available for tour booking. Our room was large, clean and comfortable. There was a lovely woman who made breakfast each morning and cleaned the room if requested. It was difficult to communicate as her English was very limited. There was nobody around to ask questions or help with bookings. Felt like we were the only ones there. For the money I feel there are better options in Chiang Mai

We had a four bed dorm with our friends, and it came with a bonus couch and own bathroom! They gave us free water and there was even an extra 2 lobby bathrooms that were never in use. The staff were friendly and made our stay very welcome. And you can't beat the price if you're looking for budget travel. I've stayed in much nicer places, but this was good value for the money

Perfect location (close to Old City attractions but far enough that it is quiet and feels like retreating to an actual home), perfect accommodations (comfortable bed, great AC, available laundry service), and perfect staff (Boy is attentive and respectful). Exceeded my expectations and would 100% recommend to friends and family visiting.

We stayed at the Seven Suns in a "Luxury Junior Double Bed" for 5 nights in February. The room was like a suite with a sitting area, small table & chairs, counter with small fridge & coffee amenities, large bathroom with separate tiled shower, and a large wardrobe in the bed area. The location was good for walking to all sites in the old city, and a few short blocks from some of the main roads. The restaurant was very reasonably priced and we enjoyed a meal or two there in addition to breakfast each morning. The wifi was good, the AC worked great, and the staff were helpful. The only downside we found was that our room was on the third floor and after a long day of sightseeing & walking it was a bit of a chore to climb all the steps.

I'm not sure about the reviews I read before I stayed here. They praise the place to the sky. I don't get it. Look, the rooms are a good size. They are reasonably well equipped, but the place has seen better days. It is shabby and although it is probably clean, it doesn't feel that way. Worst of all for me the Wi-Fi didn't work...someone was always coming to fix it but never actually arrived. The people spoke so little English that it was usually pointless. Oh, and there's not a cab driver in Chiang Mai who can find the place it seems.

We stayed at Seven Suns for 5 nights while visiting Chiang Mai. We arrived in the evening and the owner Lester and his wife greeted us with warm smiles and cold drinks. Seven Suns had everything we needed. Very large rooms, good working AC and within walking distance to all in Chiang Mai. We were blocks away from the Sunday Walking Market and a 10 minute walk to the Saturday Market. There were plenty of Tuk Tuks and songtaew trucks up and down the street if you need to go any further. Uber also is very convenient and affordable in Chiang Mai. I would highly recommend staying at Seven Suns. The value, amenities and location were perfect. Lester and his staff are very attentive to help you during your stay.

A quiet small family run hotel in the old city center. Hosts Lester & Sun are friendly and warm, nice big rooms, clean with ample breakfast in a comfortable setting. Recommended by a local friend. Good, very affordable, choice

Seven Suns is a delightful guesthouse in a perfect location in Chiang Mai. The rooms are huge! We stayed in the Junior Suite and it was like having a studio apartment with a large, very comfortable bed, a couch, a desk, and a kitchenette area. They provide a hot pot and a french press for making delicious coffee (also provided). The air conditioner worked perfectly but there is a ceiling fan as well and sometimes we didn't even have to use the A/C (a rare thing for us). The owners Lester and Sanh and all of their staff are extremely friendly and accommodating. Breakfast was delicious and served in a pleasant space. It's on a busy street but, close to places you want to visit in Chiang Mai, but was never loud. Staying at Seven Suns truly made our visit to Chiang Mai perfect and we would love to return one day.

This was our first stopping place on what will be about 2 months of travelling and after about 20 hours getting here from the UK was the perfect antidote to travel weariness. I did a lot of research before stumbling upon details for Seven Suns and so very glad I found it. I communicated with Lester, the very genial owner, via Facebook making a direct booking. The suite was huge and the hotel so very relaxing. Loved everything about it and would not even consider staying elsewhere when visting Chiang Mai in the future. The location in the old town is also within very easy reach of everything and everywhere you might want to visit. In particular I recommend The Walking Street Market held on Sundays which is also within walking distance of the hotel 😀 Lester thanks for everything and hopefully we will make it back again soon!

We loved our room and stay at the Seven Suns. It's a family run guesthouse with probably 6-8 rooms total, though the family lives in one of them. We had a big suite with a sitting area and a small kitchenette. The bed was large and firm. It's very conveniently located in the old city. We walked everywhere easily, which is one of the best things about Chiang Mai. I'd definitely recommend staying in the old city. The included breakfast was DELICIOUS! The service was also great--everyone was so friendly and helpful. They gave us lots of advice when we asked, and we also had our laundry done there. It could not be beat for the price. Highly recommend!
