We loved our stay at Baan Orapin. What a delight to step though the door and away from the hustle and bustle of Chiang Mai into a lovely garden oasis. The pool and garden are really lovely set around the majestic old (over 100 years) traditional teak family home of Opus, the delightful owner. Special mention must go to "Pepsi"...

Four years ago, my husband and I stayed at the Baan Orapin for our honeymoon and, during that stay, started talking about moving to southeast Asia. Last week, we returned to the scene of the crime -- now that we are living in Cambodia -- and were oh, so happy to discover that the Baan Orapin was just as lovely...

Great place to stay. Rooms are very clean, large and comfortable. Bathrooms larger than usual with great big showers. Staff very helpful. Included breakfasts also very good.

Upon requesting a front wing junior suite, Opas (the owner) recommended that we opt for the slightly more expensive rear junior suite. Absolutely the right decision - it was wonderful, tranquil and beautifully furnished with dark wooden furniture and a 4-poster bed. We booked to stay for 5 nights - we were due to get a sleeper train back to...

This is a lovely place to stay, we had a junior suite at the back of the house, it was set it was set in the beautiful gardens, giving shade on very hot days. The swimming pool was perfect to cool down in after a day's sightseeing and it was very quiet and peaceful. The room was decorated nicely, with...

I have to say that I am not usually the bed & breakfast type, but this place sold me - it was amazing. It is really cute, but above all you can tell that the owners really care about this place and the quality of their guests' stays. Our rooms were lovely, clean, and the staff was so accommodating. They...

I was recommended this hotel and it has not disappointed. Just a short walk across the footbridge from the city, but a million miles away once you step inside the gates into the beautiful garden. Our room was clean and beautifully decorated, the main house (where you eat breakfast) is really atmospheric, and the pool and gardens are perfect after...

This hotel was fantastic. From the moment we were greeted until the moment we left the service was top notch. The owner is such a sweet person, and he was always offering advice for our stay and helping us with anything we needed. The rooms are basic, and clearly the house is old, but we loved our room. It was...

We are frequent guests of Baan Orapin, and have stayed there 3 times in the last few years. We have also sent several of our friends there, and all of them have returned absolutely delighted with this place. What could I say except this is a haven in the middle of busy Chiang Mai. The B&B is situated across the...

We stayed at Baan Orapin for 5 nights whilst in Chiang Mai and I couldn't recommend this place more highly. We arrived really early from the night bus from Bangkok at 6am (check-in was 1pm) but our hosts offered us coffee, a place to freshen up and a somewhere to leave our bags. This service contined throughout our stay; nothing...
