Tripadvisor’s approach to reviews
Before posting, each Tripadvisor review goes through an automated tracking system, which collects information, answering the following questions: how, what, where and when. If the system detects something that potentially contradicts our community guidelines, the review is not published.
When the system detects a problem, a review may be automatically rejected, sent to the reviewer for validation, or manually reviewed by our team of content specialists, who work 24/7 to maintain the quality of the reviews on our site.
Our team checks each review posted on the site disputed by our community as not meeting our community guidelines.

This perfect little hotel is such a delight. The staff are wonderful it’s situated in a great location and close to the old town and markets. Our room is so fresh and lovely, we had a perfect nights sleep, the air conditioner worked a dream and though it isn’t a big room it has everything that you could need. We were greeted this morning by the staff with a smile and served our breakfast which was perfect. We will definitely come again next time we come to Chiang Mai.

This is a cozy and modern hotel run by really wonderful and friendly staff. The location is excellent in that it’s within walking distance of the old town but set back from the hustle and bustle so it’s quite quiet. The only down side was the rooms. Although they’re modern and have super comfy beds, they are very small. There’s no wardrobe or place to properly hang any clothes and the bathroom has some serious design faults- it’s not possible to sit on the toilet with the door open and the bathroom floods every time you have a shower due to the fact that it’s not enclosed. It had a tiny pool and a gym which has two machines- that’s all. I appreciate the gesture to have one but I think the space could probably be better used as it doesn’t ever seem to be used. Breakfast was included which was nice and it was tasty but unfortunately you had to order it the night before. I’m not sure the reason for this as much of the ingredients are the same- it would be nice if you could choose on the morning. Notwithstanding the drawbacks, I felt welcomed and enjoyed my stay very much. Chiang Mai is an incredible city and the staff at this hotel do it justice.

The service here was fantastic. Loved their breakfast. We were told that they were inspired by Japanese theme concept. Even though the rooms were small it was not causing any inconvenience. We loved the space and we hope to visit again during the lantern festival.

Loved staying at Kate and Hasu. Ked and her team were so helpful, and even got me a good driver to take me to Doi Suthep. Good place for a modest budget. Tucked away on a quiet side street, among temples.

Very friendly and helpful staff! They helped us collecting our running numbers for the marathon because we were not able to. The rooms are not big but clean and cozy. There is a swimming pool and small gym dowstairs. It only takes a 5 minutes walk to get to Chiang Mai center (within the walls). Thank you very much!

A lovely little hotel in a quiet street which is only a few steps from city life. The staff throughout the hotel were so friendly and efficient which really made an enjoyable stay. There were plenty of tasty breakfast options to choose from. The rooms as advertised are tiny and you feel like you’re living in a shoe box. However they were very clean with comfortable beds. We also got daily water bottles in our fridge. It would be good if the hotel could offer complimentary tea and coffee during the day in reception as not available in the room. Overall a very good stay.

I can't believe how much you can get for so little at a place like this. I stayed here for three nights, including a cooked breakfast and waters, for less than what it would cost for one night in a low budget hotel in most parts of the world. The staff was great and asks you for your breakfast order the night before. Even when I was leaving really early for departure, they had a sandwich ready for me. They offered advice and recommendations, and were always so helpful. Plus the rooms were very clean, nice and comfy. They are tiny, but so are many places in Thailand. What many other boutique hotels like this don't have is a beautiful pool area to hang out. That is where I ate breakfast and chilled a couple of times. The location is also great and none of the Grabs or tours had any issue in finding it. I walked many places and felt very safe. Plus there was a great little coffee shop very close one direction and a laundry spot a couple of doors down the other direction. I have learned to get my laundry done on the last day in Thailand because for a couple of bucks, I can return home with clean, folded clothes. I think others had the same idea, because I saw several bags of laundry for guests behind the front counter. Overall, there is almost nothing negative I can say about this place. Maybe have a towel bar for the hand towel in the bathroom? OK. Nit picking over. Feel confident staying here. It is a great place.

We liked out stay in Kate and Hasu Boutique Chiang Mai. The beds were comfortable, everything was very clean and the staff was very kind and helpful. Although the room was not large, the design was extremely efficient. We had a lot of questions and the lady at the reception, Ked, never grew tired to explain and help us with our planning. The breakfast was excellent.

The absolute best option in Chiang Mai. Calm, peaceful, quiet yet close to everything. Clean and fresh, but the little (big!) extra is the staff! I stayed four nights and was looked after in an absolutely fantastic way! Helpful and ever smiling. Breakfast by the pool is extraordinary
