This is our first time in Pattaya and before staying here, we stayed in downtown Pattaya at the Hard Rock which is a great hotel, however the difference in feeling and relaxation is noticeable. For us downtown just didn’t hold much attractions.

It’s several hotels on one resort property giving it large scale with amenities like serene private beaches, beautiful multiple pools, bars and restaurants. We visited in December and fortunately it wasn’t too busy however even getting a sun loungers at the beach or by the pool was a challenge. Somehow e of the pools (by Royal Cliff grand hotel)i is in the shade so water is quite cold and seating there is plentiful however in summer perhaps this changes.

Restaurants are not all open since Covid. But there’s still plenty of options to dine in.
Maharani served beautiful Indian cuisine that we really enjoyed for dinner.
Panorama opens 24H a day and serves international cuisine. We had fried rice and some Thai dish here and thought food was just okay.
Breezeo their seafood restaurants by the beach has Happy Hour every day from 3 pm to 5 pm with half price alcoholic drinks and serves a really good Mai Tai.
Sunset terrace bar is our favorite, it has Happy Hour every day from 5 pm to 7 pm (half price on alcoholic drinks) serves beautiful cocktails.

If you have a longer stay and get bored by the options, you can walk down the beach towards the neighboring beach, that opens up more opportunities to dine outside the hotel. We tried 3 mermaids which were pretty good but we actually prefer to just dine in and enjoy inhouse bars and restaurants instead.
Pricing at all their restaurants is actually really affordable and inexpensive considering it’s a big hotel group.

One area that needs attention is communication with local staffs which frequently seems to get lost in the translation. During our stay, most of the guests were foreigners so it could be quite frustrating when the staff just didn’t understand you at all. A simple question like “where is the restroom” was unable to get an answer!

The resort seems to be trying to be a green hotel, so they put recycling bins everywhere which is really good. Perhaps they could use glass water bottles instead of plastic as a better recycling options

Will we visit again? Definitely YES! Because we absolutely love the serenity of the resort and their gorgeous pools!

After we had a great stay at the Royal Cliff Beach Hotel in September 2023 (with extremely few guests), my wife booked the Grand Hotel this time over Christmas and New Year.
There was little going on at first, but that changed very quickly.
The audience is “very” international. And unfortunately, it keeps crystallizing that certain people from certain countries are not very considerate.
The staff were very friendly and helpful.
And certainly not only because my wife spoils with generous tips.l.
We would love to come back, perhaps again at times when there is little going on. But even over Christmas and New Year it is highly recommended.
The Christmas dinner on December 24th in the wine cellar was very fine. Also the barbeque at the Grand Hotel was very tasty. Impressive was the New Year's Eve buffet and the show with band.

Happy to see that the last year have been positive to the complex, service is back to usual good standard, restaurants are opening, no weddings, overall almost excellent again. From minus side, drains, it’s seems mission impossible to fix that, it’s rather unpleasant when instead water going down, it comes up and it’s not just water…
Cleaning the rooms and facilities as well was going down when there was more quests in the hotel. Breakfast in Grand was really good and it was great that this year buffet in Grand started earlier, extra point that chef was coming for a round every morning to see if all is in order.
I hope next year it’s 5/5 again.
Special thanks goes to our bell captain Mr.Anusak, restaurant manager Miss Kaewplung, lovely Somrak from reception and Mayuree, housekeeping and plumber in one 😉

Dear Valued Guest, Thank you for sharing your recent experience at our complex. We greatly appreciate your feedback and are pleased to hear that you've noticed positive improvements in our services and facilities over the past year. It's wonderful to know that you found our service standards back to their usual high quality and that our restaurants are reopening, providing you with enjoyable dining experiences. We're delighted that you found our breakfast at Grand to be really good and appreciated the early start to the buffet service. Your kind words about our chef's attention to detail are truly appreciated, and we will be sure to pass along your compliments to the culinary team. Please accept our sincere apologies for any inconvenience or discomfort this may have caused during your stay. Rest assured, we are actively working to address this matter to ensure a more pleasant experience for all our guests. Your feedback regarding the decline in room and facility cleaning during peak occupancy periods is duly noted. Maintaining cleanliness and hygiene is of utmost importance to us, and we will take immediate steps to address any inconsistencies in our cleaning procedures. We are committed to continuously improving our offerings and services, and your feedback plays a vital role in helping us achieve that goal. Best regards, Clive Nagington Group Hotel Manager

Enthusiastic, friendly, dedicated, and very satisfied with the service. In particular, the administrator Mr. Anusa deserves praise. The hotel is in a good location, with its own beach pier, and it is very convenient to go to the opposite Grand Island. The Mermaid Beach, a popular hotel, is about a 10-minute walk away. The first time I stayed at Cliff Beach 5 years ago, I was attracted by the hotel facilities. There are several infinity pools. I can stay in the hotel almost all day without going out. In the evening, I fell into Xuhui and sat in the hotel's open-air sea view restaurant, listening to the sound of the waves and bathing in the refreshing sea breeze, which brought me back to memories, blending with time, and becoming one with the sea. I quietly enjoyed the food and sat for an evening. In the following years, I stayed here almost every year, and then it was so fast...

As always the Cliff Royal Grand Hotel’s team is on top (from the lobby, to staffs in restaurant, staff who takes care of you around swimming pool, the Spa staff and masseuses, and staff who clean how rooms every day, I only can recommend them blindly.
Come and relax your body and mind around swimming-pool and at the beach.
I was there for 3 days to celebrate happy new year 2024 and I come back this weekend.
Never feel disappointed in that hotel facilities, teams, ambiance’s…
How could we be 😉?
You all are on top
Congratulations 🙏🏻🙏🏻🙏🏻

Stay at the Royal Cliff Hotel To come to the group santen seminar on November 28 - December 2, 2023, received good care from the staff. Starting with the entire Bellboy team who delivered the luggage without missing a beat. Front office staff, Khun Hadi's team (Khun Kwang, Khun Am, Khun Man, P'Lek) who were able to arrange rooms quickly according to the requests of the group. Thank you very much. Next time, I will come to use the new service.

We stayed at the Grand Hotel for a week with our three year old daughter, who especially enjoyed the selection of pools. The hotel location affords it a great view and the compound it self has enough to offer, that we were happy to lounge around the hotel grounds for almost the entire time.

Our stay was somewhat out of season, which meant that more than half of the 11 on-site restaurants were closed. Something worth keeping in mind, when planning a stay. On the other hand, most of everything else was still open and never had to share pool space with other guests. In fact, on multiple occasions, we had entire pool areas to ourselves.

The hotel is starting to show it's age and one could argue, that it's due for an overhaul, but in general, it is a very nice place to stay and most of the grounds are very well kept.

The kids club(renowned to be one of the best in Pattaya) felt worn down and lacklustre. With no daylight reaching anywhere inside and the interior lighting being nothing short of appalling, I wouldn't recommend spending more than an hour at a time. Staff was also being quite insisting when the prepaid hour was about to expire. Almost like they were afraid we would leave witout paying.

In general the service is very good. Albeit much of the staff have limited English language skills, which can present a challenge. I found that this not uncommon in Thailand, but for a five star hotel with an international appeal, I was expecting a bit more.

The food is somewhere between decent and great, depending on the dish. Prices are significantly higher than comparable offerings around town though. In fact, the hotel seems to overcharge for every service they provide, but that is to be expected at luxury resorts.

The breakfast buffet at the Beach Hotel / Panorama Restaurant got old quite fast, even though the quality of the food was good, the selection just seemed a bit uninspired and repetitive.

All in all, we had a great stay and would whole heartedly recommend the Royal Cliff Grand Hotel to other families.

Dear Valued Guest, Thank you for sharing your feedback following your stay with us, We are glad you could enjoy the numerous facilities of our resort including our beautiful pools offering stunning scenarios and overlooking the Gulf of Thailand. We were also pleased to read that you enjoyed the service you received from our dedicated team members despite the communication issues encountered. Concerning the food, the Royal Cliff has many different types of cuisine to offer and following the pandemic, we are reopening the restaurants at a study path. Our Huang Chao, a Chinese restaurant, will be reopening fully starting on the 1st of November. As you mentioned some facilities were outdated, please note that we renovate around the resort often and area by area. We wish to offer modern facilities and accommodations to our guests. Also, we will share your feedback with our managers as we always thrive to improve the travel experience of our guests. Once again thank you for choosing the Royal Cliff for your stay in Pattaya, We look forward to welcoming you back soon, It is a pleasure having you as our guest. 5 stars it was maybe 2015, when as can read the renovation was done. By now the rooms are dated, dirty (very lousy quality of cleaning the rooms), many of the facilities are closed (included the cigar lounge that is advertised), lobby bar and most of the restaurants are opened in only some days for some hours. You buy a room in Grand but breakfast is in Beach hotel where it’s overcrowded and missing staff, actually they miss staff everywhere, even Fitz club is seriously down graded compared what it used to be. All and all for that money, go somewhere else. Plus it’s the 4th day on Indian wedding, you can’t be in your room because of the “music” that’s been banged nonstop.
Only plus is the few people from the old staff they haven’t fired, they are nice, friendly and helpful as always.
Need serious update to be anything more than 3 stars.

Such a beautiful place. Staff goes above and beyond to accommodate all needs, food is delicious and varied, with Thai, European, Chinese, Indian… after a week there, I was still not bored of it.

Rooms are clean, spacious, and the beautiful architecture allows that every single room has a nice balcony to watch the views but keeping privacy.

Very quiet hotel even though it was quite full.

Swimming pools and private beach are a dream.

The spa is a great plus. A little expensive for Thailand but the level of comfort and the nice massage is 100% worth it.

True, it’s a little bit secluded but it’s the price to pay for stillness in busy Pattaya.

Would love to go back one day.
