Love the location of this old school hotel. A stones throw from Terminal 21. Smaller hotel but has 2 pool's. Really good size rooms and because it's an older hotel the wall's are thicker so no noise from your neighbours. Really comfortable beds and house keeping was great. Also the fridge is empty so you can fill with your own stuff. Water pressure is not very good in the shower but was OK, probably due to no actual cold water. I know that sounds odd but we only ever had hot water out of the tap.
I would have given this hotel 5 out of 5 but unfortunately badly let down on the catering. Our stay included breakfast. The "hot" food all looked lovely but unfortunately the warmers they use are either broken or not used correctly as all "hot" food was tepid at best but mostly stone cold which is sad. Really not nice. There is an egg station to get eggs made to order so at least that was OK. Bread and pastries were very good. Bacon is chunks of really tough and chewy pork, not bacon, sausages are hot dog types of sausage. Coffee making machine is slow and again tepid, always a queue for this, I stopped bothering by day 3. It's such a shame as the breakfast area is really nice and lovely staff.
The food was good quality but let down by the serving temperature. The lack of a food and beveridge manager at breakfast is probably the issue, apparently there is one but never saw this person in the 10 days we stayed.
Overall I liked this hotel, not sure if I would return unless there was an improvement in the catering situation unfortunately.

No have, no have.
This is a very well placed older hotel which is very convenient for several local attractions. Both the rooms and the two pools are adequate but the biggest disappointment is the breakfast and the lack of basic facilities. The hot food is usually tepid or cold and the hot drink area is a joke. After cold food for the first 2 days I just eat to cold meats/cheese and pastries. There is only one coffee machine so there is always a large queue and the coffee is Luke warm. The tea (when available) is always luke warm as the water comes from flasks. On day one fruit flavoured tea was available but on day 2 when the staff were asked for same tea bags the answer was no have, third day same answer, no have. Day 4, 5 and 6 no problem. Day 7 no have.
When I asked to speak to the restaurant manager I was told, yes you guessed it, no have!!! After complaining to the reception staff, who were very helpful tea bags appeared on days 8 and 9, rather I was handed a single tea bag each day,
In all honesty this is a minor complaint but it continually makes the start of your day challenging. When I asked to use the on site library area to exchange books I was bluntly told, it's closed. When I told staff that I wanted to donate books I got the same response, its closed. So I just dumped them at reception. To some of the staff everything just seems too much of an effort, I do appreciate that staff recruitment and retention is a problem in many areas of Thailand but some of the staff here definitely needed better training and supervision I therefore probably wouldn't stay here again as there are several other very good hotels in this area, offering competitive rates.

Decent hotel. Lovely staff and layout of the resort. Room was cleaned and attended to daily aswell as topped up with bottled water. Very comfortable bed and decent air-conditioning in the much needed heat!. Tip:....keep room doors closed to keep the pesky mosquitoes out! 🦟. Location was ideal as still had bars and restaurants within walking distance whilst maintaining quietness on resort.

Overall the friendliness , willingness of the staff are commendable.
Only downside is that the room has many mosquitoes and the hotel should provide
Mosquitoes coil or repellent
Rooms furnishing and bath equipment are too outdated. But overall comfortable.

I booked through Expedia. I paid top price for Deluxe Room with Breakfast. Same old scam. When I arrived the hotel said breakfast not included and it was an extra 1040 bht. (£22) a day more. The Hotel were not helpful and told me to contact Expedia. Expedia said as I checked in there was nothing they could do. BE CAREFUL WHEN BOOKING! The hotel breakfast ok but not worth money. You can get 4 breakfasts for that in Thailand. Plus the hotel plays the most terrible repetitive electronic music around the pool. Enough to drive u mad!

Having spent 11 nights at the Woodlands Resort my husband and I found it to be a very relaxing resort indeed, very quiet and peaceful , breakfast is very good with plenty of choices, it is not a 5 star luxury hotel but you are not paying for that it is a very comfortable hotel and good value for money, it is a bit dated but how much time do you spend in your room, we upgraded to a pool terrace room ground floor and that was definitely a good move. We will return again. Not many English people but that is not a problem to us.

My one night at Woodlands wasn’t as good as i thought.
AC:(couldn’t find emojis) it was leaking but it was okay, didn’t disturb me much… 5/10
🍱: not bad but could have more stuff 7/10
☺️😌(comfortability): Was okay. But the air was abit damp 6/10
🛌: soft but pillows are too soft 8/10
💡: pretty dim. not as good as the other hotels I’ve stayed at. 4/10
🏊: eh was fine but I found algae at the bottom. Also my dad and I got cut on the rocks or stones there. Water not really deep enough. 2/10

Overall: 32/60 I would not really recommend for long stays but I stayed at the Deluxe rooms so idk about suites. Maybe would be better. But hotel is okay for one night stays.

I loved the pool area with lots of shades and trees. It was really quiet. The location was amazing: 3 minutes walk away from Terminal 21 mall and the beach. There is also a motor rental place right infront of the hotel.
On the other hand, the rooms were a bit old comparing to the price given. And more cleaniness needed for room service. Also, you will see lots of reptiles like frogs and lizards at night. But i guess thats what happens when youre in all tree resorts.

Woodlands is a well positioned hotel for exploring Pattaya but please don't go just yet . Post Covid problems of no staff are a big issue and unfortunately letting this great hotel down . The one main man that has been there over twenty six years is trying to be everything to all and it's not working bless him . Only one security guy on at night( well from early evening) that does reception security car parking and any other complaints that get thrown at him .
It's a sad state of affairs but hopefully will rise again in the coming months
