I’ve stayed at the March 3 times in the last month during my tour of Thailand as i made my way back to Bangkok. Each time i had a room for around $25 / which gets you a fantastic staff, a restaurant, pool, weight room, and a minimalist room with a safe, great shower, comfy bed, and wall mounted tv. The neighborhood is also great with motorbike taxis a hundred feet away and a short walk to the beach. Also, Hard Rock Hotel is a block away so you can take advantage of their facilities and pool for a small daypass fee. I can’t imagine staying anywhere else when in Pattaya.

Reading one of the reviews here I have to disagree with his experience and people who are reading this should be aware that it could just be the luck of the draw but I guess it goes with every review.
I didn't have any issues during checking-in to start with. The room I was assigned to was very clean and the room was spacious enough. The bed was very comfortable but others might find soft beds discomforting. Spacious bathroom with big mirrors and plenty of space to store your toiletries.
They should add coffee and tea but as one of the reviewers already mentioned the probably won't. At the moment of writing, I am staying at a same price range hotel in Pattaya where they provide coffee, tea and slippers. I'd say add those items and March Hotel would be more complete.
Guests arriving with their own cars will have issues coming in and going out. The hotel has a nice and safe parking lot (although the ramp is built at a 45-degree angle). However, the narrow alley doesn't make it suitable for two cars coming from different directions. I once got stuck and had to wait 20 minutes before reaching the main road. So ironically enough, I will consider this hotel again if I'm not using my own car.

This is our third stay at this hotel. As a rule we normally ask to stay in the May hotel next door as those rooms are far more modern but the May hotel was closed. The room was clean, air conditioning good, bathroom equipt with good shower and toiletries. We did ask for a room with a view over the pool or the street but were given a room opposite the May hotel. I am not sure why this request could not be granted because there was not many guests in the hotel. On arrival there were certain issues. The safe did not work, Wi-Fi was non existent, there were no towels in the bathroom and the card did not seem to work. All these problems were sorted out immediately and as we did check in early we cannot fault the staff. The lady on reception was very helpful and kind. We enjoyed the pool at the March but it could get crowded if the hotel was full. The gym looked well stocked too. Rooms have a kettle and cups but no tea or coffee provided. Tv had a few English speaking channels and good reception. Beds are comfortable and there is a large fridge in the room. The location is just off Pattaya clang and the Soi is fairly quiet with a couple of bars etc. Last time we came there were many massage shops but presently they are closed. Further down the road is ‘Sammys’ where you can get a good breakfast/sandwiches etc. I would certainly recommend for a short stay as it is excellent value for money.

This is a fairly moden hotelwith good facilities , BUT the selected room that i booked showed a bath , but upon my arival i was then tols that only the superior rooms has baths and i had to pay an extra 36 pounds , then to add insult to it the hot water only worked for two out of the six days i was there . No refunds and very poor explanations that a new part was required from Bangkok just an hour up the road . Pity it spoilt my whole stay as i have bad back problems.

I was booked at the March Hotel but on arrival was told I was staying at the May Hotel which adjoins the March Hotel. It’s slightly newer than the May Hotel and probably all the better for it. I’ve stayed at the May before and it’s fine though.

Staff are great, you can use the facilities of either which is great as the pool at the May looses the sun early and the one at the March is sunny in the afternoon.

The March hotel has nice clean room and shower is good everything cleaned and bed is comfortable, everything ok with this hotel situated in a quiet area. Those were the good points. It maybe quiet outside but inside not good in my personal opinion. Noisy people entering rooms in the early hours, banging doors, talking aloud in the corridor. No respect for people sleeping. Unless I picked a bad week, can’t say for all the time. Even so I will not be booking this hotel again.

It's not a bad place but there are many other preferable places, thus no need to choose this place. Location is not good -- in a lonely alley lined with dangerous aluminum sheets. The room is good with adequate amenities. There was a problem with the television. It was not working. Called the reception. They sent someone over. It worked for 5 minutes then went out of order. Called again. They said wait a while, someone will come. After 1 hour at 11 p.m. still no one. Called reception, who said wait 10 more minutes. Half an hour passed. Called reception again, who said no one is coming at this hour and all televisions are out of order. I didn't bother for the next 2 days since I don't really watch television. But upon checkout, when I told reception about the non-working TV throughout my stay, she was shocked, saying all TVs were working and there is no reason yours is not working. Restaurant is permanently closed, so there is nothing to eat. The alley, though, is lined with dozens of Indian restaurants.

Yet another stay in March Hotel. Decided to have another short break in Pattaya and returned to March Hotel. Happy to say that the hotel is keeping up a good standard with good facilities, clean rooms, helpful staff . Unfortunately we had to cut our visit short but did notice that the pool bar was not manned whilst we were at the pool and we had to contact the bar in the reception area for drinks. But apart from this minor inconvenience i would again recommend staying here and will return without hesitation.

Great location away from the stupidity of Soi Bakao or walking street and soi 6, but close enough if you want to go there. Only one block walk to get a baht bus in either direction. Rooms are very spacious, clean and comfortable. Front desk staff were always friendly. Pool and gym are both excellent as well. Missed out on me giving them a perfect score because my pillows were about a foot thick and hard as a brick though.

I stayed here for nine nights over Christmas and New Year. Originally, I booked the April Suites, but was moved here on arrival. I had stayed in The April Suites previously, which I found to be very good value for money, and my stay there had been very pleasant.I had read that patrons of The April Suites were being moved to The March Hotel on arrival so wasn't entirely surprised when I was too, ferried via a taxi that was provided. It's only a five minute walk away from The April Suites though.

I wasn't disappointed. The March Hotel is, in my opinion, superior To The April Suites in every way, from front desk service, where there are always more staff on hand who are polite, welcoming and willing and able to help you, to the quality of the rooms, which are larger, more modern, have better facilities (e.g. more storage space, universal plug sockets, phone charging points) and also have larger balconies equipped with furniture. The WIFI connection in the room was flawless too, unlike its sister hotel and the second lift, as opposed to The April Suites' one, makes a huge difference if you're on a high floor, cutting down time spent hanging around in the lobby, which could be consuming and frustrating in the April Suites, particularly if you were returning from Soi 6 with a new found companion in tow. The hotel is, of course, fully guest friendly.

There is no minibar, but two or three (if you're nice to the maid!) complimentary 500 ml bottles of water are provided and there is plenty of room to fill up the fridge with whatever you wish. The electronic room safe ensures that there will be no misunderstandings with your valuables. The bathroom is spacious with a powerful walk in shower with hot water always available and toileteries provided every day, which is helpful considering that so many Thai girls do like to take a souvenir with them in the morning. The bed is big and comfortable too, plenty of room for two or even three and the lights for the toilet can be controlled from the bedside panel, which is handy to prevent any tripping over high heels in the dark.

A la carte breakfast is available if you book it and each floor is looked after by one cleaning lady, who is on hand seven days a week till at least 15.00; no need to worry about getting up early to ensure your room gets cleaned after a late night's partying in the Soi 14 Go Go Bars has left you with a Sangsom fuelled hangover. There is a nice bar too at the back of the ornately decorated reception if you fancy a quick drink before heading out.

The pool on the third floor is about 15 metres long by 5 metres wide with a jacuzzi and stone lions projecting jets of water out of their mouths like something you would find in a Budapest fürdő; mostly, but not entirely, covered and in shade the pool is freezing cold and is just the ticket to escape the tropical heat or to cool down after a session in the nearby on site sauna. You can work up a sweat in the spacious gym too, equipped with four pieces of cardiovascular equipment, mats and exercise balls and the piece de resistance, a master weights machine where about twenty different variations of muscle group exercises are possible. There is a poolside bar too where you can say hydrated with a refreshing pineapple and mango fruit shake.

The hotel is about 200 metres from Pattaya Klang down Soi 16 (the entrance to which has the two Khao Niaw stalls either side - hard to walk past without treating yourself to the sweet taste of mango and coconut milk for a bargain 60 baht) and 100 metres from Second Road via Soi 5, so is very well appointed, with easy access on foot to the Baht Bus routes on Soi Bukhao and Second Road itself. For those who prefer to travel on two wheels, the motorcycle taxi men 20 metres from the hotel, I found, were reliable, reasonable on price and always sober.

There's plenty of local massage parlours, laundries, convenience stores and places doing authentic food and 20 baht iced tea and coffee in amongst the hotels, guesthouses, villas and flats occupied by locals which give the neighbourhood a laid back, authentic feel. There's a quirky leather store nearby where they'll custom make items for you - definitely worth checking out, as is the covered indoor food market at the junction with Pattaya Klang, where Thai dishes are freshly prepared and cost less than 100 baht.

I'm staying here again in March and cannot wait.

TIP - try to get a room on a high floor overlooking Soi 16, there are vistas of Pattaya bay from some rooms.

Hello, There is no problem at this hotel with bringing a female guest to the room. I have stayed here myself and all she has to do is leave her ID card at reception. There are no fees to do this at this guest friendly hotel. David.

Staying here now best I can answer is: the room is spacious enough to store luggage. The main entrance to the hotel is from a road off second road, located on the road is a small laundry shop should you desire cheaper rates.
