Great location in the middle of bustling old town but feels like a world away as soon as you enter. Stella looked after us so well, making recommendations for nearby restaurants and cafes and checking in on WhatsApp to make sure we slept ok and didn't need anything. The breakfast was great and beds super comfy. Would definitely recommend.

We had a fabulous stay at the Peridot Hotel in Hanoi. The staff were very friendly, helpful and attentive. Our room was stylish, spacious and very comfortable. Eliana and Grace were particularly helpful in getting us settled in, organising taxis and ensuring our stay was memorable. Grace sorted out our internal flight problems when Vietjet cancelled our flight to Da Nang with virtually no notice. This is one of the best hotels we have stayed in and we have travelled around Europe, South East Asia, Australia and the Maldives.

We stayed at this hotel twice in April at the beginning and end of our trip, as we flew from London to Hanoi and back on the same route. After reading many reviews of different hotels we chose the Peridot as the location was excellent for walking to the key places of interest. It is a little gem in the middle of the mayhem of the old quarter. Our first stay at the beginning of our trip I was delighted that I had booked a Junior Suite which was located on the 9th Floor and had an excellent view of the city. When we stayed the second time before our flight home I had inadvertently booked a Chix Deluxe room which was located on the 2nd Floor but the only view out of the window was a brick wall and is very, very dark, this room was inferior to the Junior Suites. On speaking with the guest liaison manager Stella I said we didn't like the room and she kindly assisted in facilitating a move to a Junior Suite on the fifth floor which was very similar to the room we had booked the first time around. My only criticism of the hotel nowhere in the description does the Chix Deluxe room say that this looks out onto a brick wall. I totally recommend staying at this hotel with the proviso that you book a Junior Suite, not be below the 4th floor, preferably higher for the better views, try and book with City view and you will have an amazing experience. We ate in both restaurants as well as frequenting the Ignite Rooftop bar located on the 11th floor on most evenings we were at the hotel which has beautiful views of Hanoi. Food, service and staff were all excellent, very friendly and Stella the Guest Liason Manager was outstanding checking in with us a couple of times a day to make sure our trip was proceeding without issue and nothing was too much trouble for her, great communication which really does go a long way in making our trip memorable. Highly recommend this hotel with the above proviso.

Stunning hotel, super comfortable bed, friendly welcoming staff. Stella at reception and the spa crew were amazing. Stella even noticed it was my birthday upon check in and later sent a surprise slice of cake to my room. Thoughtful touches throughout.

I am so happy we stayed here. The service was top notch, especially from Rosie who went above and beyond attending to my family every morning. The staff were so thoughtful and kind to my young kids and even gave them gifts when we checked in and out. This place has it all. Luxury, amazing service and location being in the heart of the Old Quarter. We were on the 8th floor and didn't hear any street noise too. Would absolutely stay here again. Thank you Van and Rosie!

This is a very good hotel on many levels but it fell short of 5 stars during our stay. We were disappointed to learn on check in that the rooftop bar had been rented out and was closed during our one night stay. Being a 5 star luxury hotel I would have expected them to contact us in advance to inform us of the rooftop bar closure given it’s a key attraction and selling point for the hotel . A letter in the room wasn’t really good enough given we had booked this hotel to see it and experience it but couldn’t. The outdoor pool is nice but is not heated so was very cold. The king bed is two twins pushed together with a divider down the middle which you can feel, which again isn’t ideal for a hotel of this calibre and price point. Bathrooms could do with having the grout and silicone cleaned. There are a lot of positives though. The staff are very friendly and the breakfast is very good with a nice selection. The lobby is magnificent and it is an oasis away from the hustle of the city. The spa staff were also very nice although the mixed changing rooms were a little strange!

We stayed at Peridot when travelling around Vietnam for the Hanoi portion of our trip. The hotel is located in a central part of the old town and very much walkable to many landmarks / areas which was great. The staff truly went above and beyond, sharing recommendations for things to see & helping us navigate the city. Special mention to Nicholas for all his help in making our time so memorable in Hanoi. Slightly let down by the breakfast which could’ve had better choice / hot options. Value for money was not the best with the hotel being quite expensive. The outdoor pool was lovely but very small - difficult to enjoy it really as quite cramped. Great stay but a few gotchas to share.

Between visiting Sapa and Halong Bay my wife and I stayed at the Peridot 3 times for a total of 7 nights. It was a haven amongst the kaos of Hanoi's bustle. The hotel is beautiful, the service was exceptional, the food was delicious. We have travelled the world over staying in some amazing places, for me our time at the Peridot rates very highly. It was a highlight of a wonderful Vietnam holiday. 3 staff that assisted us repeatedly during our stay were Plum, Stella, & Tracey. Tracey particularly demonstrated a charm & grace rare in our hectic frantic world. Thankyou Stella for the recipe😃

Nice clean hotel in Central hanoi. Can't really fault it. Breakfast is good, rooms and good and the spa facilities great. All the staff are pleasant and greet you with a smile. A bit pricey from a vietnam perspective but probably worth the extra $$.
