I booked this hotel under the impression it was a four star. It certainly isn't. Location is poor, on a filthy street close to the railway station with all it's noise. Hotel itself is okay for a three star (rooms, bathroom as well as breakfast). Bed mattress is too firm to sleep on. We requested change of mattress or a memory foam cushion on top of it without success. Historic jail, lake and some museums are just within walkable distance (if one is prepared to walk on broken and filthy pavements and cross overcrowded roads and streets!).
We booked the Hanoi Larosa Hotel for 2 nights in between a stay on Ha Long Bay. The location of the hotel was less than desirable, the roads around the hotel were nearly impassible and the streets dirty. The breakfast was nice although was disappointing that an hour before breakfast ended they were not topping items up and the hotel room was dated, but clean and adequate. I wouldn’t stay here again.
The place itself is world-class. Clean place, edible local foods, polite staff. What stood out is how Mr. Viet extended assistance in recovering my phone which I misplaced at the airport. Such gesture is beyond the usual host-guest set-up. And for this, I will forever be grateful.
Amazing experience. It was my first time in Hanoi and I was looking for a budget hotel as I was staying for almost 2 weeks. When I arrived, even at midnight, I was assisted with smiling staff and didn't have any problems. ROOM: The room is VERY CLEAN. They would tidy-up your room everyday, made sure that every time I went home, I feel comfortable. Also, I have never paid this cheap for such a nice hotel room. FOOD: They have a great breakfast buffet! There was no morning when I ate at their cafe and left disappointed. Also, it's where I had my first ever Bun Cha (traditional Hanoi meal) and Bia Hanoi (local beer). From then on they have become my favorite. SERVICE: Whether you're in their restaurant, front desk, or in your room, they will make sure that they attend to your needs. All my requests were politely granted. STAFF: Probably the single most important part of my experience is the LOVELY and BEAUTIFUL staff of Hanoi Larosa Hotel. They were all so polite and courteous on my 10-day stay. Kieu Anh and/or Hoang: Thank you for assisting me always, and greet me with big smiles! You even went as far as giving me hassle-free extension/transfer recommendations to keep me stress-free! You were very helpful in so many ways I knew I can easily count you regarding anything about my stay. ♥ Ngoc: Despite the misunderstanding regarding the hotel extension/transfer recommendation, you handled it so well and immediately solved the problem. Even when I had my fault in not making things clear, you were still respectful and cheerful. ♥ Hanh: A lovely lady who was also very accommodating. Her always smiling and pleasant personality really made my times in the cafe worth while! It's almost like being taken care of a beautiful Flight Attendant! ♥ Cuong: VERY fluent in English. Among all of the staff, he has made the biggest impact as he would always strike a small conversation and ask about your day. He made me feel very at home in this hotel. He was very attentive, kind, and jolly, specially in the mornings, which set the tone of my days. ♥ Overall Experience: EXCELLENT. Would definitely go back to Hanoi primarily because of the clean rooms, great service, and of course its wonderful people. Mike…
My wife and i together with our couple friends were booked at Larosa Hotel from Oct 7 to 11. Larosa hotel is ideally located in the heart of Hanoi and accessible to all the shops and food establishments. The hotel staffs are so accomodating with good customer relations especially one receptioniit with the name Kiew Anh who is so kind and helpul. Food is deliceiously good and one staff with the name of Jay with good English is noticeably good and service oriented. Our room is tidy and clean and toiletries were being replenished/replaced on a daily basis. One thing i have observed is that not all staffs are able to speak well in English. Even some front desk receptionist find some difficulty in speaking English so i give 4 star.
