We stayed at this lovely hotel for 3 nights-our first visit to Vietnam. The staff were exceptional especially Mr. Henry, the Service Manager. All the staff were so lovely and helpful. We asked for a quiet room which they provided at the back of their hotel and we couldn’t hear any street noise at all (room 406). It was heaven after returning each evening. Each morning a large buffet breakfast was provided on the 11th floor which had views of the old train bridge and two more panoramas of Hanoi. The hotel was just a short walk to the Old Quarter and the market area as well. Would highly recommend this lovely hotel that was also very reasonably priced!

This hotel is located right between the two lakes giving you a chance to explore the Tran Quoc Pagoda and Ho Chi Minh Mausoleum, then go back to the hotel to freshen up before heading down to the Old Quarter and Hoan Kiem Lake.

The staff is very friendly and helpful, from giving tips and suggestions to making sure your stay is as comfortable as possible, they have exceeded our expectations. The morning breakfast at the top floor was better than expected, offering a variety of western and Vietnamese food and a decent selection of fruits.

While the building appears a bit older and the air conditioning set up is a bit unusual, keeping in mind that you are in Hanoi, based on the cost of our stay, the overall value was well worth it.

We stayed here for 7 nights. The room was comfortable and clean and provided all we needed including toiletries, slippers, robe, umbrella, hairdryer etc. The staff were all amazing and helpful at all times. Really good breakfast.
Our only downs was the lack of restaurants very near the hotel but a ten to fifteen walk takes you into the Old Quarter where there are plenty. We had two days of heavy rain so ate in the hotel. Food was good but slightly more expensive as you would expect.
There is also a tour operator at the hotel which I felt was a safer option than the numerous tour shops

This hotel is in a good location for attractions albeit a bit noisy due to traffic, fortunately we had a room at the back so quite quiet. Our room was ok, a little dark. Breakfast was ok. Staff friendly and spoke English quite well.

We stayed at Anise Hotel for four nights. It was a really wonderful experience. The staff we charming - we especially loved the bartender in the downstairs Bar. He looked for us and always had a greeting and a wave. The rooms were clean and beautifully decorated.

Must do - the Anise spa. (There is 30% discount for people who say in the hotel). We did the coffee foot massage on our last day (today) and the brief description in the brochure didn’t capture the complete —entire leg really! — experience.

If you don’t want to travel far for dinner we found excellent cheap food right around the corner to the left. We payed 30k for delicious bowls of noodle-y goodness at Thu Cuisine (red sign).

Thank you Anise staff. We will be back!

We were welcomed with glasses of the best tea in Vietnam and the service was maintained from there. We had booked ahead but came in late in the evening, and were greeted with a genuine smile by two ladies in beautiful Ao Dai (?) and the manager. They looked after us by ensuring our bags were delivered to our rooms and then escorting us to our rooms (not often done). The beds were good, comfortable and clean, the room comfortable and spacious (within hotel standards). Breakfast was excellent and the service was again friendly. We enjoyed our stay here (3 nights) while we toured Hanoi and its attractions and would happily go back again.

It is a reasonably good Hotel with spacious room and adequately sized toilet. Housekeeping is good - rooms are well maintained with white bed linens and towels. Breakfast is quite basic but includes fruits, cakes, Vietnamese soups etc. Location is good and one can buy food from outlets in the street.
As in most of Vietnam Hotels, there are three shortcomings : - communication in English, no room service or dining facility and no bell boy.

This was the first stop on a 2 week trip to Vietnam and after a 12 hour flight we were given a lovely welcome by the staff at 5.30am. The room was ready for us so we could freshen up and go to breakfast. The hotal was wonderful, staff excellent and couldnt do enough for us. It is in a good location, close to most of the sights and we were able to walk into the Old Quarter. We did catch a taxi on our first morning from the "Hanoi Hilton" back to the hotel and it was quick and reasonable. When we revisit Vietnam we would certainly use this hotal again

We enjoyed our stay at This hotel very much. The location is just on the edge of the Old Quarter but close to many amenities! It is a pleasant 20-30 minute walk to Hoan Kiem Lake down the “market” street. The hotel staff were very accommodating and their service was excellent! Emily in the restaurant was exceptional!! Her warmth and kindness was so appreciated! Front desk staff were so pleasant and the gentleman working in the lounge downstairs was very helpful and attentive!! We would most certainly come back to this hotel again! You guys truly did an exceptional job!
