In a great location close to the backpacker quarter and certainly walkable to the sights we wanted to see e.g. war museum and independence palace amongst others. It literally is down a back alley so be aware of that as I couldn't find it at first. It's close to one of the bus stations too and we got the bus... More

Ly Loan is tucked away in a back alley right in the heart of the backpacker district in HCMC. It is a very simple setup with all the basic needs. I had solid internet the whole time here with 3 hotspots to log into. It is a very easy walk to the backpacker district nightlife (Which was insanely busy for... More

Stayed here for two nights. The hosts were absolutely lovely and always happy to help. We got some great tips from the lady and her daughter and the host even managed to get us a taxi to the airport for just 160,000 dong! Bargain! The rooms are simple but very clean and the air con and wifi both work great!... More

This has probably been our favorite guesthouse experience so far on our 2 month SE Asia trip. We arrived exhausted after a particularly crappy overnight bus from Phnom Penh and were warmly greeted by the guesthouse owner and her two smiling daughters. Hearing of our trip, they cleaned the room quickly so we could check in early and offered us... More

I stayed here for about 4 weeks with my boyfriend in June/ July whilst he was teaching english at a summer school. The family were absolutely lovely and very accomodating. The rooms are cleaned daily and i felt our stuff was very secure! The guest house itself is very basic with no communal areas but the rooms are very well... More

Upon arrival at this guesthouse we were told that we had to leave our passports and they would be taken to the police station and scanned that night and then returned to us after. Passports were returned but I noticed today that pages were REMOVED. Beware staying here and giving your passport as it may be tampered with!!

This place is right in the heart of Pham Ngu Lao, the backpackers area in Saigon. Tons of stuff nearby including a really tasty bakery, laundry and travel agencies, Ben Thanh Market and bus station, and other stuff. Our room was clean, air conditioning worked well as did the wi-fi, we had access to a balcony which was awesome, and... More

Our stay at this guesthouse was nice due to our kind hosts. Phong, a young lady, helped us plan our stay in Ho Chi Minh and guided us to main attractions. We hung out multiple times with her and got to meet her son and mom. The rooms are clean, spacious and comfortable.

Strangle welcome with really untidy family living area but actually a nice stay. Family were nice and helpful, recommenced good local places to eat and get blind massage. Great location down a bustling alley that was quiet at night. Right in the centre, 20min walk to reunification palace so we avoided using taxis. Lots of food places and night life... More

We stayed in various homestays in Vietnam, and this was the warmest and most 'genuine'. The owner, her daughter and the lady who helps them are lovely people who are happy to chat about themselves and life in Vietnam in general. They gave us recommendations when we asked for them, but never tried to sell us anything, which was very... More
