The room I was put in has no safe, no kettle,TV is ancient, broken doorlock, filthy fan covered in dirt, hole in the ceiling, cobwebs hanging from corners, dirty bathroom tiles and hair in the shower. There is no lift so expect a steep climb upstairs with luggage. I am amazed the reviews are good for this dump.

The guest house is well located at the end of an ally off a very busy party street. The street at night is amazing full of life and safe, but down the ally is very quite so you can sleep without any party noise. The Pho Bo stall at start of the ally to the left walking down is the...

Twin room for around $30aud was great value. Nice comfortable aircon, decent beds, spatious clean bathroom, high ceilings, good lighting. Working refrigerator, window with some natural light, very quiet room with hotel situated down a safe alley, yet still only metres from the craziness of the main drag. .....and best of all A++ helpful service and genuine friendly vibes from...

The place is quiet and peaceful away from the hustle and bustle of the street in front. After midnight (not sure what is the time) they will lock the door but if you need to go out you can always knock on the owner's door on the first floor. They don't hire a security to guard the door, that's why....

Very helpful staff, clean and budget type rooms. Just off the main bui ven strip where it's all happening all day long! The owner is happy to assist in booking tours or buses. And it's just down a lane so noise is not a big issue in a city that's v noisy!

We stayed at this guesthouse straight off the plan. It is at the end of a lane way off bui vien. The owner is very friendly and helpful and has great English. The rooms are basic but clean and comfortable. We would recommend this place to anyone looking for somewhere central to stay that is not pricey but still nice!

A lovely, quiet, small and clean family run guesthouse tucked away just meters from the bustling backpackers central in district 1 of HCMC. It only has 6 rooms over three floors and each one has air con, a big fridge, fan and TV. The family that run it were so kind and friendly and made it feel like home from...

Located at the end of a narrow alley, this guest house is a sanctuary from the noise and havoc of the surrounding backpacker ghetto. The family that runs Ngoc Phan is wonderfully friendly and helpful. The room is typical for this level of guest house -- nothing special but perfectly clean and functional. The bathroom is superb -- the shower...
